Timothy Treadwell aka Grizzly Man. The German of course is the film's director Werner Herzog. Over to you Foxy. Edited to add Chillaxed.
  2. Came to a very grisly end.

  4. That would be very cryptic indeed Foxy. Though Hitler is a character from literature, a song or a film, it's not Adolph.

  9. I may have missed something here but where does the OP mention accents, "Irish" or otherwise? This may or may not be the case but I fail to see it and those assumptions have been made by others. There are plenty of English & Eastern European 'travellers'* in Southwark (*if indeed that's who these men are). Edited to add asterisk.

  16. Crikey! What a bewdy guess aquarius moon and on the right track, but no.
  17. OK. Got to say, yours was pretty cryptic. Anyway, I'll give it a go. Umm. . . Naturalist whose unlucky number came up.

  19. Hang on there HB - you said "two or three sentence clue". We was robbed. You owe us at least one more.
  20. Banksyfication.
  21. You're terrible Muriel.
  22. Aah. Thought as much. Though I am much more partial to the former. Fin rot, white spots, that sort of thing? Anti fungal usually does the trick. We go to Pets At Home though they're not local but they do stock fish rot stuff.
  23. What's that on the upper side of the Victoria on Bellenden? Can't work out if it's a giant sewer rat or a malnourished lurcher or . . .
  24. Stuff to eat or something to treat diseased aquarium fish?
