  1. Thanks so much - I'll do a collection and drop off on Saturday morning. Nikki
  2. Evening all In a few mins my baby will be 2 yrs old! I have a few precious hours with her in the morning between school run and nap time to do something special, just us two. We are having a little tea party in the afternoon. Any ideas for a brilliant morning close by? Thanks in advance x
  3. They can take up to a year, especially if their skin is scar prone (like my son) - I have been using cocoa butter, BiO-oil and sun block to prevent hyper/o pigmentation. My son was a bit shy undressing for a while afterwards but we've made them into another super power :)
  4. Hoping the power of EDF will work. We had a much needed holiday in Brussels this weekend. We've had an emergency so we couldn't go. The children are really disappointed. Any ideas of a hotel within an hour away with a pool and kids facilities? Thanks so much.
  5. I adore Oakfield... Really good community, delighted with teachers and son is progressing so well in a nurturing environment. Outdoor space a real benefit too!
  6. Nothing to be cynical about - I used them in their previous location and they were fab! Will def go back.
  7. Evening, We are looking for someone/ a recommendation for someone to come home (W Dulwich) and teach our 4.5y old the piano (as much as you can teach a 4.5y old!). He really enjoys playing around on it, and I've done some of the basics but I think I'll end up confusing him... So if you have experience of teaching little ones, and charge a reasonable rate please do PM me. Thanks, Nikki
  8. I have a dress for my little girl to wear at my sisters wedding but it needs to be blue :) I am seriously unable to do things like this - any tailors or dressmakers locally who would dye it for a reasonable price? Otherwise tips very welcome! Thanks.
  9. We have a few babysitters who are relatively new nannies/ don't drive and ask for ?7, and we get them a cab home. Rest are ?8/hr.
  10. Hey, We've been a few times with the kids, so I'll PM you but we did take a maxi cosi for our then 4mth old and a trunki back pack seat for our 4yr old. Thoroughly recommend it!!
  11. This is amazing, thanks everyone - and Knomester can you be my mum?!
  12. Evening, As there have been a few useful posts on sandwich fillers and recipes, I thought I'd post about my own bug bear, snak boxes! My 4 yr old has lunch at school but we provide a mid morning snack. No nuts, yoghurt, unhealthy choices. So far I tend to opt for: Smaller lock n lock with various berries/ grapes plus cheese e.g. Babybel plus cereal bar Variations include small apple or pear and satsuma, organix biccies or similar, dried fruit ? but beyond that I am out of easy ideas. Any tips? Thanks!!
  13. Hi, Our son goes to Oakfield too. Last year I was on maternity leave so it was easier. This coming year he will do Breakfast club (?4 drop in) and we have a childminder who will look after our daughter doing pick up. After school club till 6pm is about ?14-17 I think and needs pre booking. Good luck - what class is he starting?
  14. Hi Mrs Bee ;) Looks like it may just be us - let's meet and send the boys off for a play soon! N
  15. Sound great. Would it be term time only? Mixed ages? (have 4yr old and 7mth old!)
  16. Baby #2 now 7mths, doing similar with BLW/ BF - she has BF at 6.30ish, brekkie 7.45am with older one, small BF around 10.30am, lunch 11.45ish, BF 2.30pm, both have tea around 5pm then a bigger BF around 6.30pm and bed. I think she'll drop the 10.30am feed soon. Recently cut out dream feed and massive overnight feeds so now doesn't have anything overnight. As a lovely friend said to me recently 'food for fun before one' (although my little pudding may disagree!).
  17. Hi, I'm looking forward to possibly the only summer ever that I will be off work (mat leave) with my soon to start school 4yr old boy and 7mth old girl. I've planned various days out/ play dates but would love advice on any local activities that both would be welcome at, particularly with the inclement weather :) I've looked at edtots and similar but a lot of sessions are either baby or pre-school, not both - any advice or suggestions much appreciated! Thanks.
  18. Check out the swim fin on Amazon - we got one for my 4yr old this year and it's brilliant. Keep kids horizontal replicating swim position better than arm bands and gave my son loads of freedom on holiday!
  19. Fabwoman, This is exactly what we are looking for - quoted btw ?53 and ?65 per day in Dulwich/West Dulwich so far.
