  1. Happened to find Keith finishing a job on my street - asked him for a quote and he came in, excellent value quotes and kept in touch for start date. 2 days. 2 jobs complete (fixing a long broken gutter, pipe placement and sealing brickwork) He showed me the why, what and how along the way. He?s a great guy and genuinely did a great job with his son in support. If you need pointing, brickwork, gutter repairs etc get him on 07973 635 035 or DM me if want photos
  2. I did ask them -it's not their cat ;-(
  3. This Cat has been coming into my flat a few times in the past week -5am through the cat flap eating my cats food, also evening time, just wanders in through the open window, calm as you like, making itself at home. It has been hungry and not stopped eating my cat food each time and is incredibly tame and unflappable. Once i managed to close the window and cat flap, it was indignantly banging to get back in! I'd like to know if it's yours so I know it's not lost... I'm on the lower part of Upland Rd and the roof terrace where it comes from, backs close to Hindmans and Tyrell Rd Thanks
  4. Thanks Alice!
  5. Hi Malumbu Sorry for delay on this -had no notifications anyone replied! The London roof is in a V so you can build into your existing loft space and up to the exisiting height of outside side brick work. Not imposing from the front or the back and no neighbourly light issues too. Still researching, getting ideas and quotes, seems to be about the ?40k mark which is a lot but still cheaper than moving to a 2 bed in ED!
  6. Yes chillaxed - you are right. Mansard extensions onto a London roof are probably one of the least imposing there is. Also doesn't affect neighbours at all (obvs discounting the 8 weeks of builders hell1)
  7. Hi Mrs Teamtime Yes I have seen the Nutfield loft extensions also but very disheartening to know lots of refusals from Southwark. I think they are one of the most discreet type of loft extensions It's still only a pipedream at this stage but i'd love to know if you take it further. I thought nobody had replied to the message hence only picking all these up now Thanks!
  8. Thanks so much for replying to this -I had no idea anyone responded as had no notifications...! It seems to be a massive pain, I'll check out your link, thanks for replying!
  9. Apparently it's going to be a wine bar with a small but impressive restaurant menu so not too dissimilar to G&B
  10. Hi I was looking into this a year or so ago but then life took over... has anyone in SE22 had or know anyone who has had a loft extension on a London (butterfly) roof? I am aware there can be issues with planning permission but conversions with this type of roof are apparently now much more common so ideally want to know if it's been done, who used, how long and how much. Thanks
  11. Anyone with Sky Broadband having problems with broadband slowwwwwwwwness lately??? Have full signal but everything very slow, on both laptops so can't be just mine
  12. thanks, if only I lived in a house like that.. :-)
  13. Hi, does anyone in SE22 have, or know anyone who has had a loft conversion onto a london / butterfly roof? I've been told it's possible, planning is more than likely to be refused but good chance of success on appeal (how that works I have no idea -who benefits financially from that??!) It'd be great to get advice/feedback from anyone who has been down this road... thanks!
