  1. Love West Dulwich have recently been awarded funds by Southwark in order to install lamppost banners in the area, rather like those that you see in Herne Hill. As Dulwich is such a hot bed of creativity we are playing to our strengths. Love West Dulwich, in partnership with the Dulwich Festival, are running a competition and inviting entries from artists of all ages and experience who have a connection with West Dulwich to submit artwork celebrating the spirit of the area. The winners will be judged by a panel including Helen Hayes MP and representatives from Dulwich Picture Gallery and Dulwich Outdoor Gallery. Approximately 50 two metre banners featuring the winning artworks will be installed on lamp-posts throughout West Dulwich in May 2017. This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone with a connection to West Dulwich to get their work seen in public in various locations around the area. The deadline for artwork submissions is Monday 30th January 2017. For further details and full competition brief please go to http://dulwichfestival.co.uk/love-west-dulwich-lamp-post-art-banner-competition/ #avisionforwestdulwich

  10. Love West Dulwich Needs You! Love West Dulwich is an alliance of West Dulwich businesses and residents working together to put this fab corner of Dulwich on the map. You can find out more about Love West Dulwich at www.facebook.com/lovewestdulwich or on twitter @lovewestdulwich. Following the success of our launch event and Christmas Fair, we are now starting to plan our Spring Fair on Saturday 16 May. Forming part of the fantastic Dulwich Festival, the Love West Dulwich Spring Fair promises to be bigger and better then our previous events. We would love to get more people involved, after all many hands make light work! If you share a desire to put West Dulwich on the map and can offer time/skills/ideas then we would love for you to jump onboard. We are meeting at 6pm on Tuesday 20th January at The Rosendale pub for a chance to get to know each other and have a brainstorming session - pulling together ideas for the event, gauging what skill sets we have amongst us, and allocating initial tasks and roles. It will be very informal, but a vital first step towards making the next event even more successful than last. Also, from Wednesday 21st January we will recommence our Love West Dulwich Wednesday morning meetings. The meetings take place at the Volcano Coffee Shop (situated within the Park Hall Trading Estate, 40 Martell Road, SE21 8EN). Obviously, not everyone can make it every week, but these meetings have proved a useful way to keep each other in touch with what we are all doing for Love West Dulwich. They start at 9.15 and we aim to finish by 10.00. You are all very warmly invited to attend as and when you can. I really hope you?ll all be able to join us for a drink on Tuesday, but if not, then see you at a meeting soon! Many thanks Dan
  11. Hi Jeremy, we tend to do the H&G gift sets but I will ask the question!
  12. Hi All Local Hope & Greenwood fans will still be able to get their fix over the road at ed which will soon stock their confectionery, we already do so at Tomlinsons in the village and The Dulwich Trader in West Dulwich. @lillyrose - great piece in the FT, the shop is looking great, we wish you all the best.
  13. Sarah, Manager at ed (North Cross Rd) is dog crazy so well behaved dogs get a biscuit!
  14. Hi Lillyrose Welcome to the street and best of luck from all at ed! Will drop by to say hi as soon as I can. In the meantime, if we can help with anything as you settle in please do not hesitate to ask.
  15. If I buy him a nice cold beer i wonder if he'd do me a "VIP" bay.
  16. Hi That's reassuring. We at ed (41 Northcross Rd) received a letter a couple of weeks ago stating that it was road resurfacing taking place. When I saw the signs last week I called Southwark to clarify but was unable to speak to anyone that could help. Dan Rigby www.rigbyandmac.com
