Does anybody have an email address for the practice? I have asked for a repeat prescription, they have messaged to say I need to discuss with a doctor but I need to fill in an e consult in order to be able to do so, despite the fact that they are the ones who want to speak to me - no idea why they can't just send me a link to book. I am cycling to work every day at 8 so keep missing the slots.

Also would like to highly recommend Aria. He efficiently diagnosed and repaired a leaking pipe under my living room floor and also gave me some advice on a broken shower, even calling the manufacturers to discuss options with them. He is responsive, prompt and reasonable prices as well as being an excellent plumber. Also polite and friendly and nice to have around. https://afeplumbing.com/

I contacted Leon last Saturday morning as my oven had broken on Friday night. He responded straight away and came that afternoon. He managed to find a workaround to get my oven working safely straight away but advised on a spare part that I'll need to get in the longer term. He was punctual, efficient and knowledgable, highly recommended.

Hi - I need a catflap fitting in my kitchen door - think due to the narrow door panel the pane of glass will need replacing and have wood in the bottom third with the cat flap in and glass in the top 2/3. Is this something you'd be able to do?

Also highly recommend Niko. He came up with a creative solution to what was going to be a very expensive shower fix. He saved me lots of money and disruption and shower works brilliantly. was also punctual, good comms etc

Thanks all, really appreciate you taking the time to respond. I'll try out the various suggestions and see what suits me best

Moving jobs and new office is in Victoria (well near the Tate on the river) - seem to be various options for cycling routes - any recommendations of best way to go? (am reasonably confident cyclist, don't need to go a really long way round to avoid busy routes, cycle up Bishopsgate daily currently but would prefer quiet/ scenic route if not adding much distance) Thanks

Thanks Pugwash, I will try that. I reported it to the police who weren't interested

Just keeping this live on the boards so nobody else gets scammed by Barry

Ah sorry to hear he has scammed you too - I hope anybody else finds our posts before they employ him. I will PM you.

Barry still not answering calls or messages and not returned my £100. Please steer clear and do not use this man

I posted this a while ago but it seems to have been taken down... I asked Barry to do some work for me - foolishly agreed to give him £100 up front for materials as I thought cash flow might be an issue for him. This was 7th June. He has not done any work for me, refused to refund my money and is not responding to any messages. Please do not use him - he is a thief.

Oh no! We've also been wondering. I said to my daughter just this morning that I hoped he was OK. That's so sad, he was really lovely and always brightened up our morning. -
Obviously not as convenient but it's much easier to get a slot at Camberwell

Hi - wanting to do a bike ride on Sunday - 20 - 30 miles - either through London on quietways or out of London but want to stick to mostly quiet roads and probably not country lanes. Any recommendations? Ideally with a pub en route!

Looking for recommendations for counselling for my 16 year old.

Anyone else getting their Oddbox stolen?
mayo replied to Dullwitches's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi - I'm on Friern road and had mine stolen 3 weeks ago (only get every fortnight). we have CCTV and slightly suspiciously the box was dropped at 1.56am and stolen at 2.04. Taken by a woman with scarf over her head and face who walked very purposely up the path, picked it up and then ran back in the direction she came from (so seems unlikely she was just passing?) -
Tutor(s) - GCSE English, Maths & Science wanted

my year 11 has been having some online tutoring from www.mytutor.com and really rates it. They cover all subjects and have a wide range of tutors (and prices) to choose from. You can set sessions up as weekly, fortnightly or less frequent / one off. -

Interesting - as this is exact opposite of what council told me! Makes more sense this way but I was told this was absolutely not allowed!

It's frustrating because I asked southwark if I could just continue putting food waste into my garden waste bin which I am paying for. I didn't want yet another plastic bin and this is what we all did prior to the paid scheme. They told me no and that it wouldn't be collected if they saw it had food waste in! So I now have 2 separate bins which get emptied into the same recyling truck. It's madness - surely they only needed to provide food bins for people who weren't paying for garden waste, those of us who do pay could continue to use the one bin. Easier for collection too as one bin to empty rather than 2 at each property!

I've been fortunate enough to get Ocado deliveries through lockdown. However, they are not currently collecting plastic bags for recycling and I now have a cupboard full. Is there anywhere locally I can recyle them as we are running out of places to store them and I obviously don't want to bin them. Thanks
