  1. I asked my gp about this for my 11 month old this week - asked whether it was likely to be introduced on the NHS for babies who have 'missed' it as are older than the 2 month introductory age, and also if so can it be ordered privately and I would pay. His reply was that he didn't know about older babies on a 'catch up' roll out programme and that there has been no guidance issued yet from NHS England - basically wait and see. Also he said there hasn't been any guidance issues on how effective the vaccine even is in older babies. Tbh I still want to explore getting it for my little girl and so will look into some of the clinics mentioned in this thread. Just thought worth mentioning, given that the advice is to ask the gps but they don't seem very sure at the moment!
  2. I had an epidural at Kings and found it to be extremely effective- would definitely recommend. I was unable to have one until I had already been in the labour ward for 6 hours because up until that point there was no room available for me and I spent all that time in a triage room with nothing. So by the time I eventually got through to the delivery suite I asked for one straight away and received it almost straight away. Was very impressed with that part of the whole process. After that I was actually able to sleep and got about 4 hours which was awesome. Obv there is discomfort wen it is administered and also you really cannot move your legs or get out of bed but tbh when you need it, you'll know, and it's worth it! Good luck :)
  3. Thanks for all your comments we went to Jelly Tots this week and really enjoyed it. It is quite small but my lg really loved it especially the ball pit. Will definitely be trying out some of the other suggestions too :)
  4. Awesome thanks for your comments! Will give jelly tots and Beckenham a go! :)
  5. Hi all, I have an 11 month old and am really interested in taking her to a soft play centre but wanted to know if any of you mummies have discovered one that you can pay per visit? Many of them (Gymboree, tumbletots) seem to require a 12 week membership.... I have tried Gymboree in ED but was a little put off by the fact that all the 'open play' sessions tended to be between 4-5 which is pretty late in the day and were also over run by very very active school age children. Maybe this was a one off but not ideal with a LO who is just starting to walk and spends a lot of the time crawling still. I guess my main questions are does anyone know of a non subscription/pay as you go soft play, or has anyone got great experiences from Gymboree and maybe I just got the wrong impression when I trialled it? Thanks in advance :)!
