TV blackout around Goose Green and north

When I switch on, DTV comes up in corner of screen then screen goes black When channel number pressed, number appears, then screen goes black When menu pressed, channel guide appears momentarily but empty of programmes, then screen goes black When setup is pressed, menu for automatic or manual set up appears momentarily, then screen goes black with no time to pick from menu - NIGHTMARE!
