Come along to the Bessemer Grange Primary School Summer Fair, taking place at the school (Dylways, London SE5 8HP) from 12-3pm this Saturday 4 July. We will have homemade food including a BBQ and salad bar, cakes, ice cream, Pimms & beer, live music, dance workshops, storytelling, a bouncy castle, a fire engine, face painting and games as well as free arts and crafts. And if that wasn't enough there will also be the opportunity to handle live snakes and spiders! F@B are also launching the Bessemer Cookbook which features over 125 original family recipes, collected from our wonderful school community with dishes from all corners of the world. Come along with friends and family to enjoy the sunshine and festivities!

Hi all As you may know, Bessemer Grange Primary School recently had an Ofsted inspection and we are thrilled with the result, which is Good with Outstanding features. We absolutely love our school and believe that our children benefit greatly from the hard work and dedication of the teachers and management staff. As well as the ice rink, we have lots of games, Santa's grotto and plenty of delicious food and drink to keep you going! There's also multiple stalls to buy your Christmas pressies, trees and chutneys from, and a fantastic raffle with the top prize of an iPad Mini... We're very excited about the skating rink! Sessions are 25 mins (including time to put skates on) at a cost of ?2.50 per person. Under 5's will need to be accompanied by an adult, children over 5 years need to have an adult present. We advise all skaters to wear gloves to protect your hands in case of a fall. We are expecting the rink to be very busy so please arrive in good time to ensure you get a go! The fair runs from 12pm to 4pm and there will be lots to see and do. Thanks!

The Bessemer Grange Winter Fair and Ice Rink opens from 12pm on Sunday 7 December - it's free to enter! The fair will feature an outdoor ice rink, hot food and drinks, Santa's Grotto, games, arts/crafts and local handicraft stalls. Everyone from the local community is welcome - see poster attached for more details.

For children starting Reception at Bessemer Grange in September 2014, Friends at Bessemer and parents have arranged two summer meets ups for families to get to know one another before term starts. The events are very informal, people bring their own picnics and meet in the grass area opposite the playground in Sunray Gardens (Sunray Avenue, SE24 9PL) ? do come along if you can! The Bessemer Grange Winter Fair is taking place from 3.30pm on Friday 13 December! We'll have a Santa?s Grotto, craft stalls, locally made gifts to buy, a bouncy castle, cakes, tombola, musical performances by pupils and lots, lots more. The raffle has some fantastic prizes generously donated by local businesses including pampering treatment from Myla & Davis and Therapy, delicious food from The Lido Cafe and Blackbird Bakery, gourmet treats from Franklin's, Moxon's, Pretty Traditional and William Rose and theatre tickets from The Unicorn and The Albany. We will also be celebrating the launch of a new artwork for the school by world renowned children's author/illustrator Oliver Jeffers, with the sale of some limited edition tshirts and tote bags! Everyone is welcome, so please come along!
