  1. @Reg Smeeton @Lebanums Super helpful, thanks for taking the time to respond. I like the idea of getting the old hospital before it's torn down - though maybe that should be October for halloween as it's so derelict!
  2. I originally posted this in The Lounge but people are suggesting it would be better placed here. Sorry for the repeat if you've read already. --------------- Calling all East Dulwich Natives! I'm a local travel and landscape photographer here in Dulwich and I would love your help please! I am creating an East Dulwich Calendar for 2024 and am in the process of compiling a shot list of all the most iconic locations and visuals that would capture the heart and vibe of this amazing neighbourhood. I've got a starter-for-ten with locations like: - the boxers by the East Dulwich Tavern - the mural as you exit the ED station - Dulwich Hamlet fc stadium - Dulwich Park cafe on a snowy morning - Cherry Blossoms off of lordship lane - etc etc But I need further inspiration, so I thought to myself, where better than this awesome community of local experts? Are there any iconic spots, local characters, special stores or secret nooks that you'd like to see in an East Dulwich Calendar? What would I be remiss for not including? All ideas welcome and appreciated! Thanks in advance guys. Dan Montalbano www.danmontalbanophotography.com p.s These are some of my other calendars, so you get an idea for what the final product will look like. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/MontysCalendars

  5. Is anyone else being driven absolutely mad by the new temporary traffic light at the junction of Chesterfield and Melbourne Grove? Ear-splitting beeping ever 40 seconds or so. All day. And all night. For quick reference, the number for noise disturbance on the Southwark council website is wrong. It is now: 0207 525 2000 (choose option 1) And the number for Conway, the people responsible for installing it (on the actual signal box) is: 07748704404 Construction is supposed go on for an entire month...the council really needs to do something about this. If it also bothers you make sure to contact both numbers with your concern.
  6. Quick update here. Nemo is still missing after six days, though we?ve had a few possible sightings near oglander/coplestone road. If you see him pls grab a picture and get in touch!
  7. East Dulwich neighbours, we need your help Finding Nemo. Literally. Our seven year old cat, Nemo, has been missing for the last few days. He?s large, grey, and long-haired - see picture attached. Last seen Wednesday evening June 6th around Melbourne Grove. Please can you keep an eye out for him and if you live in the neighbourhood nearby check your bins and your sheds in case he has somehow become trapped or is injured and hiding? Next best thing would be to just share this and get the word out. If found or seen pls contact either of us on: (Dan)07854551916 or (Marian)07794043659. He?s chipped and registered at Medivet Dulwich on Lordship Lane. Many thanks in advance for any and all help, we miss him!
  8. Hi Louise, yes! Will PM you separately with more details.
  9. Hi All, My wife and I are going on a six month trip from June and are looking for a temporary home for our cat 'Captain Nemo'. Unfortunately the family we had lined up to take him on while we are away have backed out at the last minute - which means we now need to find someone willing to look after Nemo for the six months we are away on quite short notice. He's an indoor/outdoor three years old, snipped, chipped and in great health, with all the right paperwork. He's very friendly, affectionate and full of character. He's the kind of cat you can hold a good conversation with. Attached are some photos of him. If you'd be interested in looking after him for the next six months (we are back in December) please PM me asap and, assuming all is in order, we can work out the details! Thanks, Monty3005
