  1. Hi, Try Julie on 07801947404. I have had two children there, my youngest is leaving this year and I feel really sad! It is a fabulous nursery and both my (very different) kids have thrived there.
  2. Is he particularly into anything in particular, Octonauts, Spider-Man, toy story etc. we used Disney princesses for exactly this situ with my daughter. I bought the pack of ten and gave her one for each morning she had not got up. I broke the pattern, but they have to be into it. Not sure this would have worked with my son to be fair... Good luck anyway!
  3. Excellent, will give them a try! Thanks.
  4. Hi everyone, I am hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction! We were very kindly lent a mobility scooter on the understanding we would donate it to a cancer sufferer after we used it. This is proving tricky as none of the hospices I have tried are interested in it (health and safety issues). I wondered if anyone had any suggestions on where I could donate this or indeed knew anyone who would benefit from it. It is a lightweight scooter, that is easy to transport, in really good condition. Thanks in advance! Amy
  5. Is it open on Saturdays? Thanks.
  6. We have always just had them wrapped in an airline plastic bag(super heavy) at the airport. We chuck the booster and the car seat in together! Never had a problem and they come under separate baggage allowance. I think we maybe took packing tape with us just in case not available and kept the bag at the other end for the return journey.
  7. How about a swatch, she could be taken in to the shop to choose it as part of a day out kind of present? They aren't too pricey but durable and ,lots to choose from. Think there is a shop on Oxford St.
  8. We have recently had our loft converted and a bathroom renovated by Sky high builders and I would thoroughly recommend them. The entire team is lovely, every one of them went the extra mile. They are happy to approach designs and problems creatively which means we have achieved a loft exactly as we were after (easier said than done). We were working to a tight budget and they came in pretty much on budget. The main extras were unavoidable repairs to our house that were genuinely unforseeable on the builders part. Marvin is very hands on and is always available, always responds to phone calls and on site often (he has a couple of teams) overseeing and making sure it is being done as he wanted it, re-doing even in some circumstances where he was not happy with it! His website is: www.sky-high-builders.co.uk Phone: 0208 8941 1688/07966189754
  9. My daughter had it whilst we also had a new born, my gp happened to get through to a top guy at Kings (randomly I suspect...) who said that a fully breastfed baby would have approx 6 months of immunity if the mother had had chicken pox. Not exact but a guideline I think.
  10. Good grief, are there TWO child abducting, blue van drivers out there???
  11. I found the regular time on the toilet/potty solved it for us. I used to give my son the iPad as it kept him there and gradually moved back to books. It stops the surprise events, but you do have to set a decent ammount of time aside though...
  12. Little Clipper on Northcross?
  13. I just wanted to say, be careful of ear thermometers with tiny babies. My son had a serious infection at 3 weeks and although I knew he had a temp the ear thermometer wasn't picking it up. The dr at the hospital said really best for older kids (4+ maybe, can't remember). Perhaps they are better now but just thought I would mention...
  14. Ruggerbeez do a 2-3.5yrs class. My son goes to their class and adores them, they are brilliant with them all also.
  15. Take your buggy sheepskin put of the buggy when you actually go on the plane (if you have one, but as you're a kiwi I am presuming...;-))on as the sky cots can be hard bottomed. Definately take a sling with you as this gives hands free potential! 5 months is a great time to go!
  16. A website called To Dry for has fab London tea towels that always go down well. Cooler prints than the bog standard...
  17. They have a donation box for him at William Rose also.
  18. Another vote for Shot by the sheriff
  19. Superdrug definitely sell these.
  20. I was going to try this : http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/rex-the-dinosaur-cake/3134d1ed-d6a5-4cd9-9689-44868901548a There is a template to print out also and a YouTube video. I don't think you need to use Betty Crocker cake mix... I was contemplating just buying sponges from the supermarket to cut out!
  21. The Usbourne sticker books are great and long also! Small dolls also good, like Disney princess figures. Think they are about a tenner for the set and can keep small girls going for ages...
  22. I think it is really common to have major tears heading in and then literally as soon as Mum/Dad leave they dry up. Have seen this for myself numerous times, (and been surprised at the speed of the turnaround) and found the same for mine. I think generally the staff will tell you if they are upset all day, as it is in everyone's interest to have happy kids! Good luck, it is nerve shredding dropping off a howling child, but it does get easier for everyone.
  23. Used it this morning and it was running on time.
  24. Hmmm yes, as I suspected, but always worth an ask I guess ;-)
  25. Who did you all book Egypt through? We are looking for a cheap ish hol at Easter with kids club etc!
