Strawbs replied to lynchhim's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
300 Im happy to put in a couple of hours a night a week or on the weekend, Im out of ED generally between 7.30 and 7 every day (doing the drudge to Can Wharf) but outside of that am totally happy to help out!! Not sure if I can make the relauch party but will see what I can move around.. Jules :)) -
209 @Mitchk I think you have company there, my other half has lauched her own one woman boycott of the place also so you are not alone!! It would be my dream for a waitrose to be in its place, you just cant go past a waitrose! MitchK Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Steve, I doubt it is sharp practice. PMSL!!! Ok I get the message I must post more!! Ive only managed 206 since February *gasp* I didnt realise I had so few, sorry the annoying this called work I have to do generally just gets in the way *rolls eyes* I will repeat the mantra daily 'post post post'.. *whizzes off to find random threads she can post on*

Yay Ive had my whole thread be quoted - woop woop - that's got to raise my stakes on the forum!! ;-) You are absolutely right SM we are loving it!! Best move we have made by far.. @Lorenika - honestly punt WD and come East, we have not been in long and its brilliant so far.. We have made new friends on the forum, are living our life 'locally' as much as we can i.e. using the services in ED, shopping in ED, spending our hard earned cash in the pubs of ED - its got a real community feel which I find a wee bit addictive and quite inspirational.. Anyhoo that's my 2 pence worth.. Last week Jaws and I went to the Jack Johnson concert in Hyde Park featuring Ben Harper as his back up.. It absolutely rocked!!! I have seen him before in Australia but this time round he had just gathered so much momentum and Im telling you between the beers and spliffs going around around us the crowd was at fever pitch!! Best concert Ive been to in a long long time.. :)-D Was meant to go to Dolly Parton last Sunday but had bronchitis so couldnt go.. I was gutted... I'd love to go to more gigs but if Im honest with myself I tend to find out about things after they have either sold out or have happened! :-$

Ooh 6 weeks that's not long at all.. I cant wait.. @H6_6 - here is a link I found yesterday that may help!! http://www.grapefruitopia.com/chillicare.shtml xx

@ B - two of my favourites things I will have to get my butt down to the garden centre this month and get meself some pots and little plants.. How long has it taken for them to finally start to flower? @SM - cool site thank you! There is a chilli festival in London - may have to drag jaws along to that one! :))
-
Oooh thanks Asset that would be great!! :))
-
Morning all, Where can I buy a chilli plant in ED? Im feeling the need to be a bit more 'mother earth' and whilst I am not lucky enough to have an allotment (nor the time to tend to one) and not sure the other residents would appreciate me digging up the communal garden I thought a chilli plant on my windowsill in the kitchen would be ideal! Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed! No pun intended.. >:D< ME

Even with padding I reckon I would have felt a bat in my bra!! And youre right buggie bigger breasted women do and can wear bras with padding for general shape, uplifting and also so then when then you dont inadvertently tell everyone around you when there is a chill in the air... ;-) I thought it was a joke at first to be honest, I cant believe she had it in there for 5 hours.. Even in a FF there isnt that much room for a bat I would have thought cause the boob takes up all the room, I certainly wouldnt have room for a bat to hitch a ride.. :))

There arent any rainbow drinks happening that I know of.. Would be happy to organise some.. There are some drinks going on from another forum (gingerbeer) at the Rye at 8pm on the 25th July which you are welcome to pop along to... If you want to do an ED one then round up some peeps and then we can organise a night.. J :))

Exactly the below except only once for A&E (last week) and once for emergency dental (infected wisdom tooth) both times they were really great and I thought the service was great.. wallerski Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I have had to go to Kings A&E three times (plus > once to emergency dental) and have had a really > great experience every time. My work has blocked the page god damn it! :'( Hopefully our internet will be up and running at home by the end of the week and I will be able to see them then..

We went to cornwall recently and we left the house at 5am and it took us about 5.5 hours and then about 7 on the way back.. If you can stomach the 4.30 alarm call I would definitely rec doing it that way otherwise you just waste loads of time sitting in traffic! Be aware at that time of the morning to take snacks as not much is on offer at super super early in the AM.. Good luck!
-
Woop Woop - well I have my voice back finally and Jaws and I will definitely be at the next one, even though I couldnt speak I thorougly enjoyed it.. I wont be the quiet one in the corner this time around!! I even saw Richard on the train station this morning (felt like a proper ED resident me) and he said he may make the next one.. :))
-
Jaws and I had a great night albeit people had to lip read what I was trying to say!! Was so great to see sm, David c, moos, b belle, and many others.. Also great to see I'm no longer classed as a newbie as we had two lovely new peeps tonight! Looking forward to the next ones already! XX

Clearly you go to the wrong bars!! He he Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > In my experience, apparently a myth.
-
I will absolutely try my best I promise!! Can't have you losing your net now!! *wink* will chat with jaws when she is home from physio
-
I too don't think I will be able to make it I am laid up with bronchitis... Jaws and I really want to come so if I'm up to it we may come for an hour but I am unable to speak as I have entirely lost my voice so as much as jaws is enjoying the peace she will have to speak for me tonight if we do come!!

Moved in to ED on Sunday and on the Monday had some home made scrumptious pies delivered which came with a very thoughtful 'welcome to ED' message in it and also our neighbour dropped in a lovely bottle of red.. We were both quite blown away by it yesterday and it really cemented the reasons why we moved here.. :))
-
Jaws and I are there with bells on!! Missed the last one and then felt a little out of the loop so we will absolutely be there for this one - name tags and all!! :)-D
-
What tiime is this starting on the 26th? I have a hair appt in Cov Garden in the morning so if I miss the start I will catch up with you on the way.. :)-D
