I think G just needs to do up a roster for all of 09 with the date and the allocated pub and if we all want to go then we go and then atleast its done and we dont go back and forth on what pubs we go to each month.. I know it was mentioned before, do you think we could do that? I am sure it would save G a whole load of stress each month.. x -

I watched it for the first time last night and I thought it was ok, I would watch it if I stumbled across it rather than probably liking it enough to remember to be home to watch it!

loss of East Croydon-London Bridge serivce

From peckhamboy on the other thread re the trains At the risk of striking a rational and balanced note amongst the fury, what is the real impact? - Off-peak trains from ED to London bridge will run every 15 mins instead of every 10. I appreciate that might be annoying for some, but it doesn't strike me as a huge issue. - No connection from ED to East croydon for the Gatwick train. As far as I could tell, this train was only every half hour anyway - it was almost quicker to go to LB and get the direct train from there. There is an alternative train from Forest Hill which isn't that far away (may even be closer for a lot of people). And nobody seems to have pointed out that we seem to be getting an additional train in the evening at 2003, which I personally am delighted about. 1949 always seemed far too early to switch from 6 trains an hour to 2 (as evidenced by the fact that the 2019 is invariably standing room only). It will still go down to 2 an hour after 2019, but it's a start. Personally, I'll be using the new 2003 much more than I ever used the E Croydon train, so maybe I'm biased, but overall I don't think there's too much to get stoked up about. And given the number of people who said they'd like to attend the meeting but wouldn't be home in time, I'm guessing that might be the position of quite a large number of ED residents if they were given all the details rather than just the ones the OP wanted to get people worked up about. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,188478 -

S - Im sure I read on the forum here lsat week that currently after I think maybe 8 or 7 (and dont quote me but I will try to find it) that they then only run every 30 mins but they were going to extend the late night trains for 1 hour i.e. either 8 or 9 it would then go to every 30 mins.. I will see if I can go and find it.. -
quinoa is a fantastic option, its cheap (about 1.?? a box and that would easily last a person 6 meals) if you roast some veg and then mix is all together or add sesame oil, spriing onions and cashews and its fantastic (cous cous is also an option if you prefer) and as with lentils it is super high in protein it makes you feel fuller for longer, halumi and aubergine curry - 200gms halumi, 1 medium aub and some curry powder - feeds 2, hot and sour soup - veggie stock, tom yam paste, some mushrooms and spring onions, pinch of sugar and a splash of lime juice and bob's your uncle you have a fantastic winter warming soup, a warm salad - lettuce, cherry toms, sweet pepper, green olives then fry up a mung bean mix (get it from the fruit guy on northcross) and add a couple pieces of halumi and vwala you have a fantastically filling, cheap and warm dinner.. Vegetarian spag bol with quorn mince, stuffed aubergine with borlotti beans - this is fantastic! There are so many healthy, yummy cheap meals you can make being a veggie.. Today for lunch I had a salad made up of rocket, cherry toms and cheese, some lentils (hot) and a piece of rye bread with humous, was scrumptios!

I filled it in and it worked fine.. Im all for the same amount or more trains and not less. I did hear though that the trains they are cutting are not in peak times and adding more late at night, I think that's a good idea.. Dont like the idea of losing trains altogether though i.e. the PR to VIC - we use that regularly.. -
I say all become vegetarian, its much cheaper and no animal then has to live in squaller and you wont eat meat injected with hormones and water! I got a pack of lentils today that if I ate them for dinner every night would last me a week and it cost me 89p, chuck in a can of tomatos, some chillis, a bit of veggie stock and your done - its bloomin lovely! Word of advice though is to have some windeze on hand! >:D<
