My son is very happily at 'my favourite nursery' on the corner of upland and barry road, I understand they have a long waiting list but you could always give them a call.

Morning all, I know my son is probably a little on the too young side at almmost 17m but he is such an active little man (he literally cannot sit still) and his favourite thing to do at the moment is run around kicking his little rugby ball so I was wondering if there were any organised things for kids at the weekend that anyone knows of? I remember when I was pregnant walking up crystal palace road and right next to DMC there was a little soccer group for really little kids but probably around the 3 year mark. As he is so little Im happy to be at the park with him running around with his ball but I thougth I'd see what was out there. thanks! x

oakhurst grove and nearby roads for a family?
Strawbs replied to movingeast's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I live on Oakhurst with a 16m old and I like it. Its close to the park at goose green which has a lovely little playground, a short stroll to the markets on northcross or Lordship Lane, close to the gowlett which does excellent pizza (best in ED in my opinion), close to the big peckham rye park, centrally located between peck rye and ED train stations so great for transport, 37 and 484 bus at the bottom of the street on ED road. It also has bollards which makes it less thoroughfare than it could have been. Also the Gardens surgery is just around the corner which in my view are a fantastic GP practice. I've been broken in to twice on Oakhurst in 4 years but I think that applies to a lot of people on various streets, it is not Oakhurst specific. -
Jesus that is strange, I'd be rattled too. If you need anything please let me know. Hope the police can help. Oh and well done on the quick thinking of not revealing yourself, I'm not sure I would have managed it x

The dish and the spoon do bday parties and are very family friendly.. We chose soft play for our son's bday party at peckham which was a good option. x

Had my son's first bday party there last year and it was great, 90mins is the perfect amount of time, inexpensive, staff were super nice and the kids had fun which was the most important thing. It was a bit squishy upstairs for the food with two adults per child but we managed fine and everyone seemed to enjoy it..

MXC - do you know if they cater for older babies? My son is 15m. I normally go to shot by the sherriff but they are super busy at the moment so ideally I need to get it done this weekend if I can. thanks!

The Baby Whisperer - Would you Recommend?
Strawbs replied to Salsie's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I tried gina and bw before my partner threw the books out as I had become a crazed woman and very rigid and it wasn't working! I think defo give it a read and a go if you fancy it but just remember not all babies are the same and other factors need to be taken in to account ir reflux, allergies etc.. My son finally slept through at 10.5 months and it was constant sleep training every day.. Give it a go but try to be relaxed about it and don't beat yourself up if it doesn't work x -
I'm thinking of joining to shift my 15m old baby weight.. The time has come!! I know weight watchers is very popular but I find I don't make very good choices on it by filling up on their sweet treats! X

Thanks all really appreciate it, a friend of a friend was selling an XT for ?50 so I snapped it up.. X

Hi all Hope everyone is well. Ive recently sold my bugaboo chameleon as mini strawbs since he has been able to crawl (7m now 14m) has detested the pram which has resulted in the pram being used twice in 7 months and it literally became a coat rack.. SO I am now looking to buy a cheap stroller that will literally live in the boot of my car for the odd occasion we will need it (I foresee maybe 3-4 times a year). If Im lucky enough to have a baby number 2 I'll buy a second hand bugaboo bee off the forum. Should I go for a maclaren? I really dont want to push around a tank but cant be too precious given how little use it will get. Ive only used an old maclaren not a new one so dont know how good the new ones are but I see lots of them around. Or is there a another hidden gem of a stroller that wont break the bank. My other half has put a budget of ?50 on it but Im not quite sure if that is realistic haha.. thanks xx
