Just had a guy on barry rd knocking on my door..told him I wasnt interested and got some abuse... I do worry when they knock on elderly people's doors.
Just called the flying pig and they are not showing it, neither is the actress but told me the Alexandria (?) in Clapham common is so best head over there early if you want to catch it. Think I'll just listen to it on the radio - could be over in 3 rounds!
I also fully support the action and hope to see more of this naming and shaming. It's a massive problem in East dulwich and I and also fed up with a persistent offender allowing their dog to mess outside the front of my house. Woodstock - well done and I hope you catch the guy and he gets the fine. It is antisocial behaviour and needs to be taggled with more cctv as most of the time it happens very early in the morning or late at night when people know they won't be seen.
I have going regularly and the last few times felt less and less comfortable but thought I was being a bit sensitive. I have overhead some odd conversations too and whilst I'm always up for some banter this was just a little odd - don't think I'll be going back anymore. Interesting to know it wasn't just me though.
I agree with the above..I can't see anyone seriously watching their speed without a threat of a fine. Unfortunately, looking at rch's detailed agenda of what needs to be done and the cost involved, it looks unlikely to ever happen.
Hi rch Why is it a problem to have speed cameras on barry road and make the speed limit more obvious? The main issue with the road is that is very long and straight and quite simply is asking for speed. Unless some strong action is taken I.e proper controls - speed cameras, fines etc you will struggle to slow the traffic. I walk this road every day and am shocked at the speeds cars and motorbikes get to and the levels of overtaking. James barber - is it a funding issue to get speed cameras installed or something else stopping this?
would like to add another recommendation for matthew Hanson and his team who recently decorated our home post loft conversion and completed some woodwork on our staircase. He provided some good advice on how to make the new build blend into our existing house and he is able to advise on all aspects of building and decoration. He is a nice guy to have round with a friendly team who are tidy and respectful in your home. I would recommend him and would likely use him again for future jobs.

Agree setter - some cars on barry road specifically are going way too fast and there really needs to be action to slow down some of the traffic.
