  1. Niko has done several jobs at our place in Honor Oak.Recently we've called him out to replace s shower. We thought that the tiles needed stripping out and replacing. However he explained that the tiles were perfectly adequate for what we wanted. That sums up Niko. He never recommends unnecessary work and is always conscious of cost. He is also a brilliant plumber who is available to offer free advice over the phone if necessary. He is also an incredibly nice bloke. Our go to plumber. He is fair reasonable and very professional. 5*. The only reluctance we have is that he may get too popular and next time we need him we may have a problem because he is so busy !!
  2. Another Recommendation for Nico the Plumber. Cleared a bathroom basin at our home in Honor Oak. He also (he is inquisitive) traced what was causing the problem (likely a collapsed soakaway). Really nice guy. Thoroughly recommended.
  3. The flush pipe on our toilet was leaking. We had previously had Dyno Rod out (under the British Gas plumbing cover) twice who had supposedly fixed it. It started spurting again and we realised that we needed a proper plumber. We got Paul Harrison's name from this forum. He immediately recognised that the flush pipe was too short and so brought the cistern itself forward off the wall (concealed system). The Dyno Rod guys had simply pushed the flush pipe back into the toilet without properly fixing it. Paul sorted the problem out in about 25 minutes. If anyone is in need of a plumber I would recommend Paul Harrison on +44 7864 042208. He is also recommended by others on this forum.
  4. Thank you David for another excellent Job at our house in Honor Oak Park. Great Roofer - no bull*hi* and a thoroughly nice guy. Thanks David yet again !
  5. I am reluctant to recommend Helen and Steve as it means that when we want them, someone else has them. They are brilliant.
  6. Not in East Dulwich but Babur Brasserie Brockley - if you can get a table at weekends
  7. Me Me Me aren't you the troll who posted on the se23 website about the same issue in a hectoring way. is this becoming an obsession of yours ? I noticed that you haven't posted about anything else
  8. You would think that the Police had better things to do than search commuters for the odd joint. I guess from their perspective it beats catching real criminals.
  9. We have been to the Herne many times and have never had a problem. The food is great and to be honest we have never had cause to complain about the service. It is one of the few pubs/eating places where you can take a well behaved dog, which we do. We take our schnauzer. By the way - if anyone wants really excellent local italian food try Le Querce in Brockley rise - i know it is outside of ED but it really is worth the short extra trek.
