Sophie La Giraffe soft toy, lost either near the Dr's @The Gardens or on Northcross Road near the photos of Victorian ED. Photo attached is of stock image of the lost version - it's been loved for 3 years and well worn. If you find it, please PM asap - there is a very sad little girl missing her Giraffe.

A little update from here. The engineer came out and I showed him this thread and he was able to fix and reconnect immediately. It looks like the issue was unrelated to this wider 'outage'. Might we worth insisting on a visitor from an engineer. Having spent close to ?100 on data and a 4GEE mini wifi thingy we are now left with the dilemma of whether to switch to another supplier... Good luck!

Thanks for the extra info. I have an engineer booked for Friday but they seem to have the ability to automatically cancel this so I will call (again) and confirm they are actually going to turn up. I've looked at switching to Sky and BT but both would take weeks to switch. I seem to be totally unable to change the situation. Catriona, I'm feeling your pain...

Interesting to hear your services are now restored, trizza. We are on Underhill Rd and have been without tv and broadband for a week and I've just been told the outage will not be repaired until the 18 October! CatrionaHelen, I wonder if we are impacted by the same outage. Sigh.

Missing post but I forgot to add the street name

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll take a look. The parcel isn't anything exciting - name tags for the children - so of no use to anyone else! -
Missing post but I forgot to add the street name
Jones replied to Jones's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I know, that's what I'd hoped but the implication is that if it doesn't arrive it's entirely my problem. I know it's my fault - I ordered it in a bit of a rush... -
Hi, Does anyone know what would happen to post that is missing the street name? I've ordered something but in all the chaos the parcel has my house number and postcode but the actual street name wasn't filled in. It was due to arrive at the beginning of the week but still no sign. Is it worth calling Sylvester Road? Any thoughts much appreciated! Thanks

Jones replied to Stephen Tozer's topic in Reviews
I'd like to add another recommendation for Stephen. He's just fitted carpet in two bedrooms and we are really pleased. As everyone else has said, he's a really nice guy. Great advice and really helpful when it came to making a final decision! Thank you, Stephen. -
Does anyone know if the shop has reopenen yet? Without a phone today so unable to ring... Thanks

Second time round spring babies

Congratulations Annabelle and great to hear feeding is going well! Looking forward to hearing updates on names. We finally settled on Sophie for our little one. With unbelievable timing, Hannah went down with chicken pox last weekend so Sophie and I have been camped at my mum's for nearly a week (only time will tell if this was a pointless exercise). Hoping to reunite the family this weekend so once I'm sure H is no longer contagious we'd love to catch up with everyone. Good luck to you ladies waiting on the arrival of your little ones - I'll keep checking for your news. Sally x -
Second time round spring babies

Hi ladies, just wanted to say congrats on the arrival of all the spring babies - looking forward to hearing more news soon! Our little girl arrived on Wednesday and we too had an amazing experience with the lovely Oakwood midwives in one of the midwife-led birthing rooms. So totally different from the first time that I still can't quite believe it! Mo - we're still undecided on the name front too... Spending some time getting to know the little one this week but would love to meet the following week, Sally, Hannah and 'the baby' xx -

Hi all, Just wanted to say thanks for organising a great evening, Ginny. Shall we try for a February meet up (before the babies arrive)? As last night worked so well, how about a Wednesday (18 Feb or 25 Feb)? Sally -

Does anyone know if any of the local charity shops accept foreign coins as a donation? I'm looking to donate all those unused coins that you bring back from holidays! Thanks
