  1. Yup, we've done Forte, amazing. My brother runs a company with rugby players Will Greenwood and Austin Healey http://www.superskillstravel.com where they basically provide amazing family holidays and all the kids get coached by ex internationals. Went a few years ago which was launch year and was amazing, truly amazing. However quite expensive and so we want to wait until both are over 5 (the minimum age for the rugby training) before we go again so both kids can appreciate it all :) I do agree though if you have a bit of money spare - you can't beat it - a great holiday
  2. Wow, thinking that's too hot!!! We might change our plans :) Thanks everyone
  3. Has anyone been on holiday to Southern Sardinia - Cagliari airport being the closest airport. We are wanting to go in August, family of 4 (kids 5 and 3). Not fussed whether self catering with pool or hotel but does need to be reasonably priced (most important thing is pool) Has anyone got any recommendations. Thanks in advance
  4. Hi KBN, I've got a friend who was 5th on waiting list and son was given a place in the July. I'm not sure how they found out 5th and I just tried to phone and have left a message. When I get more info I'll let you know. Fingers crossed
  5. Oooo thanks everyone. I'm going to phone velux tomorrow and ask :) That aspace one looks amazing but would definitely need it on sale. I might see on ebay Thanks Keep the advice coming :)
  6. We are thinking of moving our son up to our attic room. One side has a sloping roof leading to the under the attic storage door and the other side has a highish ceiling. We are thinking of buying a mid sleeper with desk/storage underneath to go where the higher ceiling is however other than that idea we are at a loss as to how to leave him with enough space to play. If anyone can recommend mid sleepers or maybe take photos of their fabulous attic bedroom storage that would be greatly appreciated. Also one thing we are worried about is the velux window and the amount of noise it makes when it rains - does anyone have any solutions (i don't think there is a solution but thought it was worth asking!!!). Thanks in advance Sally
  7. Hi everyone, I forgot to post on Friday but I lost 3 lbs this week. Again am thrilled. I'm still not boozing and actually finding it a lot easier than I thought (thank goodness!!). I'm counting like mad and being very open with invites that of course we can come for dinner but i'm on WW and can you let me know what we're eating first so i can work out what i can eat earlier that day - everyone is being very supportive so it's not difficult. How's everyone going? Stay strong xx
  8. The estate at the top of Upland/Dunstans Road - brilliant and not too big a hill for the young ones to walk up
  9. If you are able to then yes yes yes yes yes :) Of course the first few months are harder etc etc etc but never looked back. I have a 5 and 3 yr old who love each other dearly and play (and fight together) really well However I do think only you can answer this question as its such a personal thing Good luck x
  10. Thanks so much for everyones advice. I think my mum is going to "surprise" me with the dyson! I'm very excited :) Thanks
  11. Hi girlies. Well I weighed in this morning and lost 7.5lbs. Thrilled but know it will slow down now I've been swimming 3 times I've eaten all my daily points but not my weekly as that's normally saved for booze and I've given up alcohol for January How's everyone else doing?
  12. Thanks so much Chillaxed - I'll get back to you once I know a vague budget from my mum
  13. My mother is very kindly buying me a handheld vacuum for my Xmas present. Does anyone have a which account who could email me what the best is meant to be OR does anyone have one that they really rate? Thanks in advance
  14. Well done everyone. I've only been back on Ww for 3 days (and no alcohol) and feel better already. My fitness starts tomorrow when kids go back. We can do it and remember even if u have a blip we still have to weigh in as its too easy to give up!!! Have a good day everyone X
  15. I'm a big one for exercising at 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. I'm not a fan of tea time so I love missing it and if I'm not feeling like exercising my husband says I can be on tea duty and that's a sure fire way to get me out there!!! Could you pick something you don't like doing at weekends and go out then? Good luck
  16. I think she's also going to work out of the florist (run by the lovely Paul) next to Barcelona at the top or LL opposite the Harvester.
  17. I'm back and am in No longer can make Ww weigh in on Wednesdays so am going to do it on line and weigh in on Fridays (ie I start today as am finally home after 2 wks away). I will have my fabulous friend Pickle at the end of the phone every Friday so I don't lose motivation. I'm also lucky that my youngest daughter is at nursery so definitely no excuses on the exercise front as have the time Good luck everyone
  18. Fab, thanks so much Clazza, I'm thrilled that you like it. For anyone who's interested, this is what it looks like: http://pressiesbypebbles.com/my-crafting/childrens-clocks/ I have just been to the Post Office to send my last picture off to arrive before Christmas. If you are local and able to pick up I could still fit in another butterfly or character letter so please just shout. Thanks for everyone's support and I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.
  19. Thanks so much Jimnem, I'm so glad that you like it :) I've had such a huge amount of support from the EDF (and lots of orders) so thank you thank you thank you. I'm just loving it :) Thanks again
  20. I had a mirena coil fitted after my 2nd having had 23 weeks solid heavy bleeding after I stopped breast feeding with no.1!!! I personally think it absolutely rocks!! I haven't bled since. No abnormal affects, I did have slight stomach cramps for the first couple of months but no more than a period pain and I had been warned so I was expecting them. The problem with all of these things are that there's always positive and negatives. My mother had horrendous periods and went on the copper coil and i just remember my life as a kid of her not being able to leave the house as things were too heavy and i knew I didn't want to go down that road - especially as I had experienced that after no.1. My husband is actually going to have the snip, however I will stay on the mirena as it's just so so so easy for me, no periods and it just gets changed every 5 years. Jessie - I'm so so sorry for your experience, I can't imagine how hard that must have been. Dare I say though, suck it and see and just make sure you're aware the moment anything strange happens that you have it taken out!! So difficult, there's always going to be positives and negatives Good luck whatever you decide xx
  21. Ha ha Otta, I think of that You've been tangoed advert from years ago when he used to walk around slapping people
  22. I too can't use a screw driver or fix ANYTHING that's broken :) MrsTP - just looked at your husbands photos - they're truly awe inspiring, absolutely gorgeous
  23. Which IKEA ones were they please? Thanks so much
  24. Thanks Molly, unfortunately no pm :( It's the one positive of being an insomniac that I'm awake to hear people shouting out in the middle of the night!!!
  25. Just a bit of research as I'm wanting to sell some children's desks that i've decoupages (covered with paper) - I'm thinking football teams etc Anyway, my question to parents of older kids is where have you bought your children's desks from and how much did you spend? Thanks in advance They'll look a bit like this but obviously as a table and not Peppa Pig!!!! http://pressiesbypebbles.com/my-crafting/very-cool-childrens-furniture/
