  2. Hi, I am a local East Dulwich resident available for part-time Admin support. Can work from home of office - can be flexible. Please get in touch if interested. Many thanks! Katy
  3. Hello, I would like to bring something to your attention once again Councillor Barber.. As you know, there is an illegal garage operating from Bawdale Road and I would really like to know what is being done about it? - we have sent numerous pictures and flagged this up with you on numerous occasions, but nothing is being done. If you remember, this was an issue back in 2013 on Whateley Road where the garage was previously. The mechanics are on the road constantly mending vehicles and parking cars. This is leaving mess, oil and general debris on a daily basis. They use foul language around the kids that live on the road and one of the mechanics is sleeping in the back of one of the vans now. They are constantly drinking and two of the cars have basically been abandoned on the road. As you are aware, parking is a nightmare around here anyway, let alone running a business on it. This is illegal and I can't understand how you are turning a blind eye to it time and time again. For residents on this road, it's becoming a pain and we would like it rectified. Please let me know what you propose to do regarding this matter please. We are getting tired of reporting this to the council and to you.... Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi, We have a gorgeous whippet who needs the odd walk and the odd 'sleepover'. Would be great if another dog there too for company!! Please let me know if available... Thanks
  5. Illegal Garage - Bawdale Road Dear Mr Barber, Please see previous message below re garage on Whateley Road. We have contacted you a few times now, as well as Southwark Council with regards to the illegal garage that has been set up on our road. The garage used to be on Whateley Road and has now moved on to Bawdale Road. There are cars and vans parked on the road at all times now. These are being worked on constantly, leaving mess, oil, batteries etc all over the road and pavement. As you are aware, these roads are always busy and currently there are 6 vehicles on the road belonging/being worked on by the men who used to own the garage on Whateley Road. As you are also aware, you have had a lot of messages regarding this and nothing is being done. There are lots of children coming and going to the new Harris school around the corner and the mechanics are always using foul language, leaving mess and drinking. Not great when moving vehicles around I think you'll agree. I would like to ask you what you are proposing to do about this problem? - you are aware of these issues and I would like to know what was done on Whateley Road about this. As you can see, this was an issue back in 2011 that was posted to you! I am confused how nothing is being done about this - again, they are running an illegal business on our road. We all pay our way and I cannot understand how this is allowed, especially as a lot of us have now complained to the council or to you directly. I look forward to reading your response. Kind regards,

  7. Hi, Keys found on Bawdale Rd, SE22. Please message me. Thanks, Katy
  8. Well said. Is important that everyone in the community works together to make the admission policy for this new school fair for all. Does seem like a big area of East Dulwich still won't see the benefits of this school, especially the children of Goodrich/Heber for example. Not great considering the sales pitch was for an East Dulwich Secondary school...
  9. Anyone out there thinking of embarking on this come September? - anyone any advice re home-schooling?
  10. We are 4th for our 1st choice - Heber (originally 2nd!) 14th for Goose Green 11th for St Johns 21st for DVI Not looking good!
  11. How is that possible??? - the whole thing seems like a mess. Am sure it will all be fine for you in the end as you will always come top on the lists due to siblings. Just don't understand how they can not give anything. We had that at first and then Bessemer Grange which isn't convenient for us atall. You must be just as stressed as we are about it all. We have now found out that our daughter has dropped down the lists again as we appear to be in a complete 'dead zone'. Is annoying the hell out of me. I also find it deeply unfair that people can apply late and get in above people who have been organised and got their applications in on time. What's the point in having a cut off date then? Confused...
  12. Thanks for that clux. Is a nightmare and don't seem to be getting anywhere. What did you do for those 2 weeks? - did your child start at another school and change or did you keep them at home?
  13. Hi All, To anyone out there who got offered a place for any of the schools on their wish list. Please spare a thought for us as we weren't offered anything at first and then Bessemer Grange which wasn't anywhere on our list. For those of you who don't have your first choice, but do have second or third, you should count yourself lucky and take it!!!!! We are utterly gutted and feel that we've been totally shafted by the system.
