My frames will be for 2-6 I will have a baby area too Sorry Bergerbear for hijacking your post
-
I hope to be up and running early march I will advertise a launch day closer to the time , I'm focusing on a child's cafe with play floor so parents can relax and see there children at all times rather than lose them on a great big frame there will be lots to do and I will be holding classes in a work shop up stairs and renting the space out to popular and local classes :)

Beat you to it Hun I'm afraid I'm in proses of opening one on lordship lane but it is a great idea

What is or you you suggest to be the going rate for 1 hour rent of a workshop /dance studio 500sqf on lordship lane This space is big enough for child's football classes and dance classes up to 30 children or adults just been decorated and a full mirror wall with ballet bar Although I would charge per hour I will allow 15min either side for set up ad pack away Thanks

Otta if you are not proud of your children i find that really sad , I'm am proud of everything my little boy does even when he does something he shouldn't I'm proud he says sorry and I'm proud of myself for feeling I'm doing a good job in that is is happy and healthy , Thank you to thoes of you with kind words :)
-
Also I would be just as proud if he walked at 18months and potty trained at 3 but you gota be a little excited about it all happening early , maybe my second will give me a little longer with a cooing baby and not growing up so fast
-
Aw well that's sad :/ didn't mean so so much defence just wanted to point out that boys are not lazy which I have heard many times even by child professionals not by the crowd I chose to hang out with Milestones are important no matter what age the child is of course they should be recorded that's why it's in the red book right ? Sorry to those of you who maybe havnt had time to look through that , as a first time mum I felt it quite important Of course when children are 4 they are all doing the same thing more than likely I'm just shocked every day at the things my lo does Like I said over proud ..... Maybe but who isn't ?

Sorry what a mistake that was

Emergency Childcare - Does anyone have one of these
Mum2be replied to reneet's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hiya iv just seen this and you may not have seen my previous posts on here I am a mum of one and I'm currently working as a back up nanny the way this works is a few families have my number and if the nanny goes sick or the children are un able to go to nursery then they can call me short notice and that's it child care covered , I worked as a nanny before having my little boy and have experience with 3 children at one time all under 4 , my little boy is 10 months old and very friendly . If you would like to meet up we can arrange that and then you can just keep my nu,bet and call if ever needed its as simple as that :) Thanks Hollie -
Riley already has 7 teeth and he hasn't been like this with any of the others , however I did give him calpol , teething powder and bongel spread out but none of that helped , I put him in bed with me but he just wanted to play , so far tonight he has been okay fingers crossed Thanks for advice :) Hollie

my 7 months old boy has the past two nights woke up just a hour or so after going to bed screaming the house down . last night it took me from 8.30 until 10 past midnight to get him back to sleep and then he woke at 6am , what went wrong i do hope this is going to be a short term thing what can i try to stop this happening i no its only been 2 days but i need to nip it in the bud mum in need of help hollie

Time to move them into cot bed is deffantly when they start claiming out its better that they fall out of the bed than fall off the bars when climbing if his happy in there I'd leave him for now his still very young Hollie

Wow who ever would suggest being a cleaner is a easier job than child care , are you serious ! What kind of responsibility does a cleaner have ? Since when did a mop have a temper tantrum ? That really is a shocking statement ! Do you have children? It's 10 times harder with someone else's And sorry I ment ?10 ph for more than one child which I think it says is the going rate on simply child care that's why I said that it's not what I charge nor ever have expected
-
I think a few of these posts are a bit harsh I'm speaking as a nanny and as a mother and as a nanny I'd say ?10 is an average wedge it's not a easy job you are stepping in for someone's parents it's a huge responsibility I do agree that the family should pay for ofsted as it is purely to benefit the employer not the nanny , holiday and sick should be in the contract as this is a job the same as any other of course you should pay holiday and sick . If your worried about the nanny not paying her tax then you pay it that's what your ment to do you are a employer not many nannies are self employed , or get proof of there tax payments . For a mothers point of view I would look for the best I could for my son I wouldn't look for the cheapest and to be honnest I would be looking for a nanny that rates her self higher than ?6 or ?7 ph after all she will be looking after the most important being in my life you can't put a price on that ! Lucky enough I get to take my baby to work with me , I think my charge is very reasonable and its a shame us nannies have to read nasty comments to suggest we r in this job to rip people off , I happen to love what I do and all the families who I have worked for and I'd like to think I'm worth every penny

Where are the parents while the children are going through the detergent cupboard that should have a lock on it ? Under 2's should not be left unattended let alone in the kitchen nor should they no what a jelly sweet is to be confused Just my opinion
