  1. I'm not sceptical. I merely say hogwash
  2. Hi Pugwsh The machines inside the bank will only accept barclays customers cards. The two outside (including the one that gobbles up cards) accept other banks cards.
  3. Mine has gone off a coupe of times in the last 2 weeks
  4. And be careful if you use their outside cash machine. I used it and it gobbled up my card. I went in to complain and they said " oh it is very temperamental."
  5. Very nice Steve D. A fox strolled past my bedroom this morning with a pigeon in it mouth. Another string to their bow - or just nature red in tooth and claw
  6. Plenty in my garden. You are more than welcome to them
  7. Mistle thrushes in my garden this year
  8. When I had a dead fox the rubbish men were very hapy for it just t be put in the bin, so I take it a rat would be the same
  9. As above. Did great work once they came
  10. It looks like a lot has been saved and it can be reconstructed, although it will take years.
  11. Halleujah. I am happy to believe that in real life you are both very nice people. But on the EDF you can both be a pain
  12. Seems we have a problem on Lordship Lane. Surma has a 1, and Dulwich Tandoori a 2. By contrast Ganapati and Jafflong both had 5
  13. Please do not go to A and E because you cannot get an appointment with your GP. All GP's surgeries offer emergency appointments, or as noted above at the Lister surgery. A and E is far too stretched already and is not there as a GP overspill.
  14. Ive got sure flap. Works really well and outstanding customer service
  15. To use TFL planner succesfully you have to have quite a good knowledge of routes beforehand, to know when it is talking rubbish!
  16. Hear, hear
  17. AED's talk you through the process so training isn't needed, although desirable.
  18. King?s College Hospital is one of four major trauma centres in London, serving a population of 4.5 million people from South East London to the Kent coast. Over the past year and a half, there have been 362 landings on the helipad, which is an average of four landings every week. Previously helicopters had to land in Ruskin Park and then move patients to a road ambulance, adding 25 minutes to the emergency transfer. In the first year after the helipad opened, 162 patients were brought to King? by air ambulance.
  19. I live in Ondine, backing on to the area Cedges talks about and the family's noise extends here. There is very little that can be done as unfortunately people who make a lot of noise, are often are not amenable to polite approaches. The council noise officers may be able to help with loud music at night but will not intervene in domestic noise usually. It might be worth getting together with neighbours to give polite approaches a bit more muscle - metaphorically of course, not literally.
  20. Try PALS , the hospital's liaison service, who should be able to find out more for you. Email [email protected] Phone Tel: 020 3299 3601, 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
  21. There was a professor of thermostatic functions of the body on the Today programme last week. She said that it was a myth that hot drinks cool you down. You may think they do of course, which is a different matter.
  22. Strulch is really good. You can get it at garden centres
  23. A few years ago Colin put up a large area of decking. Last week he maintained it as usual by cleaning, pressure washing and varnishing it. Prompt and reliable as always and decking looking great. I would always recommend Colin for any jobs that need doing, he has never let me down.
  24. Well done Captain Kernow
