  1. Hi How about finding a neighbour with a cat and arranging reciprical cat feeding? I have always found that as long as they are fed once or twice a day cats are fine on their own for 2 or 3 weeks. Much better than they would be in a cattery.
  2. Ive been going to Dulwich podiatry for years and have found them very good and would recommend
  3. I use Vale Pharmacy, right by Goose Green Roundabout. They usually have the prescription ready by the time I have walked from the GP, or had my medications approved on line by GP. Never had any problems.
  4. I could come and collect about 4pm if that is convenient?
  5. Hi How much are you asking for these? Pam
  6. Hi Vasilis When I googled Arapina it came up with chocolate cake. I am NOT an apologist for Arapina, I have never been there and probably never will. But I wanted to ask ......some words in English for instance "coconut" are absolutely fine when you are in the greengrocers but not when used against a person. Could it not be that Arapina is fine , or appropriate even, for a cake shop??
  7. You see , the problem is that what you say above is meaningless given that the levels are lower than many previous years and lower than much of European capitals and most of American cities.
  8. I think Jazzer is quite properly backing off-he can't be bothered with evidence but admits a feeling. He may wish to back off further after looking at these figures from a report by UCL at the end of 2022 which was a benchmarking comparison of crimes around the world The figures are homicides per 100,000 inhabitants - Milan and Rome have the fewest and then comes London. The report notes that most US cities have a much higher rate, and surprisingly (to me) Asian cities tend to come in lower. Barcelona (3.1) Berlin (2.9) London (1.4) Madrid (1.9) Milan (0.7) Paris (1.7) Rome (1.3) I think this is the first time I have ever bothered to take issue with what is posted on the forum but I feel strongly about the issue of people throwing untruths about. Vulnerable people read things like Jazzer wrote and curtail their lives out of fear. Fear brings mistrust of other people and so it goes on.
  9. Show me some evidence that shows that "London is probably the stabbing and shooting capital of the world" and " that there is an epidemic of knife and gun crime in London" and I shall certainly apologise and retract
  10. I didn't make a personal attack-I said Jazzer was deluded...meaning wrong. He was factually very wrong and has repeated his assertions on this thread and this is akin to spreading false information
  11. Violent crime in London is very low compared with much of Europe, America and the rest of the world. Petty crime as in phone thefts, amazon thefts etc is a very different matter
  12. I put my food waste into a compostable bag and it is happily collected every week
  13. The painstaking preparation work involving ridding my garden of 30 years worth on bamboo has been finished and everything is ready for the delivery of turf for the planned wild flower meadow at the back of my garden. I am so grateful to Sayed for his idea for this and cannot wait for it to be laid.
  14. Great. He's gorgeous
  15. I am amazed. Josephs is not new, it has been there about 3 years? I have had fish and chips from there a few times and rate their fish as some of the best I have ever had from a fish and chip shop. Chips are great as well, The portions are enormous and great value.
  16. Poached has been taken over by new owners. I had a very good coffee there and the menu looks good
  17. This is on the southwark website "Report bonfires and smoky chimneys You can report a smoke nuisance or smoky chimney by calling our 24/7 call centre on 020 7525 5777. Smoke nuisances are dealt with by the visiting officer. We work seven days a week and aim to be with you in 60 minutes. This may vary due to seasonal demands. Please check the availability of the service at the time of your call." I would think you could argue that a BBQ is also a smoke nuisnace. Good luck
  18. If you have the NHS app they tend to duplicate each other
  19. It will have been months-but you have good days, then they get more frequent and then you realise that it isn't a problem any more
  20. Hi You wrote " Please, even if you mean well, don't say 'you just get used to it" BUT the problem is that that is the truth. I am very sensitive to noise and when I developed tinnitus I nearly killed my GP when he said I would get used to it, but of course I did....as I got used to airplane noise. You are right it is a battle with yourself as to how you react. A couple of sessions of hypnotherapy could be really helpful for that. All the best
