Re helium that takes thousands of years .. surely then every day we have sone more being produced .. (today minus 'thousands of years' = todays helium ? Im not belittling the important environmental question thoug. My biggest bugbear is the amount of blue carrier bags given out on rye lane . They seem obsessed about giving uou one at every opportunity

Lets focus purely on the envuronmental impact . The same trucks chugging around picking up big or small bins . Lorries picking up or delivering the brown bins .. and transporting those brown bins that arent wanted to gawd knows where -

I very much doubt they will be stockpilling those bins for future use .. i bet you a milloon pounds if you order a new one if you want one you get a spanking new one -

What a lot of plastic must be wasted by supplying caddys and removing those brown bins ... wonder what happens to them eh ? -

My wife bought be a subsription for 'positive news' .. it focusses on the good things going on in the world rather that the broadcast and tabloid media obsession with bad news . Worth a read

'Light' shouldnt be your only consideration alice -. My steel (cro moli) bike is relatively heavy but so comfy and great for round town with disc breaks , my ali is light but twitchy and hard and my titanium is both but cists 3k . My advice is set a budget and doublr it ! .. get one with discs if you want to ride in winter

Try edwardes . My wife got a 2k kona for 1k and i got a genesis with various bits and pieces (probabably about 1300 quids worth) for 800 quid . Far better than evans or halfords and a local independant business rather than a chain

I dont think you will get a light bike fir that price point . Its always spending a little bit more. I would recommend edwardes in camberwell .. they do great deals and will chuck in lights and locks . Id recommend a genesis bike . Steel is slightly heavier that cardom or aluminium but offers a softer ride

From my experience ive done my drinking and partying (sadly not much womanising! As me and my friends are gentlemen!) Id much rather spend time with my family and have a whattups group with my old mates who i see once in a blue moon

Im 45 . I have my core group of mates since my 20s and either acquanencues or husbands of the missus mates . Tbh i barely have time to see my old mates . Once you hit my age you cease to make new mates just mates of the wife .. tbh saves a lot of hassle and cant be arsed anyway
