Night nanny vs doing it yourself
rougepamplemousse replied to Strawbs's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I have done it myself, I have a 3yo and a 1yo that slept for 12 h with a dream feed since they were 3m and 12 h when they started solids, at about 7-8 months. And helped a couple of friends for free... dohhh.. I should have charged them, I didn't realize it was so expensive to get someone to help :) But as someone said earlier, if I couldn't have done it myself, I would have been prepared to go bankrupt in order to be able to sleep! :) -
Hello ladies Congratulations on the pregnancies! I had a spring baby in 2011 and one in 2013 and this forum is great! I am having a massive clear out and I have joined one of the NCT s nearly new sales (on 8th March from 11 at St Laurance Centre, SE6 2TS if anyone wants to go have a look) and I am only allowed to bring 100 items ... I realized I have over 300!!! So I am hoping to sell some here - clothes, toys, playmat, reusable nappies, double buggy, swing etc So if anyone needs anything for a newborn please PM and ask, I might have something I haven't mentioned. Everything I have is new or nearly new. Thanks for reading

I contacted Little Fingerprints Nursery twice in the last 2 months and I haven't heard from them. The website is terrible as well and doesn't give any sort of information. A couple of friends that moved their kids to a different nursery told me they don't have an admin team and not very well organized. A friend's daughter goes to Oak Tree and she is very happy there. She's been going there for nearly 2 years, even after the family moved a bit further away.

Do you swear by the dream feed?
rougepamplemousse replied to Polly D's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I dream feed my little one since she was 6 months and started on solids. I did not wake her. So she had a feed at at 7.30pm, than I would dream feed her at 10.30 and she would sleep until 7.30 am BUT, and I think this is important, they will have to have all recommended amount of milk during the day which means more feeds during the day. At least that's what worked for us :) -
My daughter went to My Fav Nursery, we only left because of personal circumstances. We gave 1 month notice but knowing it was a long waiting list we asked if we could leave right away and the admin lady said no. The key workers are amazing and my daughter loved every single one of them but the admin staff is terrible and their level of common sense is non existent!

My nearly 2yo never gets bored. She goes in the trolley and is quite excited to see and touch things in the shop when we pass by. I usually plan it to get there at 10 and have lunch at 12, than she sleeps in the car on our way back. I went there last week and yes, no meatballs and no hotdogs...
