Kathryn replied to Family Room Moderator's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi I am another Jennie to the group I have just sent a request to join the Facebook group and the whatsapp group. I am due with number 2 on 20th July!! Only just having the time to realise that's quite soon!! Jx -
Hi My son has been at Gumboots since he was 6 months old and he loves it. He is now 3 he runs in and hugs the staff. It's his last week this week and I can honestly say he and I are both going to miss it very much. If anyone was to ask me I would recommend it if you can get a place. Happy to talk further if you or anybody wants to about it.

Massive Moving Baby/Toddler/Child Things For Sale
Kathryn replied to melissasmith's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Why has this made me so annoyed?? My PM's have not been read and I also offered to buy everything as I have a number of friends as we all do with little ones and close friends with twins. I can't understand why I am even posting but it very frustrating to have felt so manipulated. If you were selling to one person or even inundated with offers why were so many of the same things reserved under so many peoples different names. We all want a bargin and tend to understand that its a first come first served so if we miss out well thats our bad luck, but to all be under the impression that we were all able to buy and reserve the same things is just a little out of sorts with the way the east dulwich forum seems to work. This happened before you knew you were unable to make it to the sale, If you were able to edit your post to GONE could you have just spared a few more words to say that you didn't make it to the sale and to mark it in each of the three sections you advertised. It would probably mean your in box would now not be full of messages that are going unread. I will stop being pissed off now, well in a bit anyway. -
Massive Moving Baby/Toddler/Child Things For Sale

Thank you so much for clearing it up? It is very odd that someone seems to have done this and gone to such lengths at posting, listing and replying I had a number of exchanges up until the day of the sale!?! If it is as it seems a hoax and we have all been duped no wonder there are so many issues with anonymity of the Internet. But that I guess is a whole other issue. I did think the sale was very good despite the disappointment and I would go again and recommended it as there were some bargins I sorted a few Christmas presents so thank you -
Massive Moving Baby/Toddler/Child Things For Sale
Kathryn replied to melissasmith's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I really hope if anyone is ill that they are getting better. It makes sense that any one going to this sale has young kids or are expecting them so time is extremely precious and budgets tight This sale was good to go to and there were great people there selling some fantastic stuff and in fact i thought its something i might do in the future as my little one out grows all of the stuff that surrounds them. This thread ( in three different sections )and stall seemed to offer especially great bargins It seems a lot of us went specifically because of this post and made specific efforts and re arrangements to get there However it is strange then that it says its all gone? Melissa I really hope if you or any member of your family is ill that it is not serious and you or they are on the mend I had reserved the Brio, a scooter, a trunki, a buggy board, a buggy foot muff, some clothes, the kitchen, the ergo baby, the dinosaurs and one of the jumperoos. All with my name against them. Car emptied and early arrival to get a car space to be able to take the larger items home. I did pick up some lovely things from some great stalls but still felt very disappointed. -

This is in the Family room Classified section and the for sale section and it is only here that the post had been changed to gone??? Don't really understand what's going on? Was this a marketing ploy? I hope not because this forum is so much about good faith. -
Hi Yes the police were called. They could not find the guys once they arrived. Although they were quick to respond they had long run off. They gave him a lift home and took a statement and as much of a description as could be given. As he had managed to avoid injury and the mugging no crime had actually been committed so nothing official gets reported. No they hadn't been on the bus they came out of Green Dale He was wearing head phones but nothing else visible just carrying his over shoulder nondescript bag He was very lucky

Just thought people might want to know. My other half got of the bus at the Townley Road stop on East Dulwich Grove coming from Herne Hill. When he got off the bus he was followed by five guys. It was by pure luck he managed to dodge one of them as they attempted to punch him to the ground, he then ran into the pizza place and called the police. It happened just after midnight last night along that stretch of road opposite Dulwich Hospital at a point when there was no traffic. Please keep aware and keep safe

Hi I am planning a home birth. This will be my first. I am going through the Brierley Midwives who specialise in home births. My friend had a home birth three weeks ago and had really positive experience. A big baby on just gas and air. She also did hypnobirthing through http://www.calmbirthcalmbaby.com/course/hypnobirthing/ Good luck

Where can I get foam for a window seat?
Kathryn replied to Ole's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I think the fabric place near the magnolia pub sells foam. -
Together 96 people joined together on a crowdfunding website and raised the money to make the short film Il Maestro. The response has been truly extraordinary and has left me feeling quite emotional about the huge support there has been. The only thing left now is to deliver a film that is worthy of that trust and support. We have an amazing team in place and filming starts this very Friday. I would like to invite you to come and be an extra. The extra's shooting day will be Sunday 13th of March. That is this Sunday. You are of course welcome to bring friends. It will be in Dulwich College and during the afternoon after 3 before 8. Actual times to be confirmed closer to the time. As an extra you will be an audience member to the performances and will be required to wear smart dark clothing. You will also have a chance to listen to two amazing musicians. Loads of parking on site and nearby lots of fantastic places for sunday lunch and parks and woods etc. If you are able to join us please lets us know as we need to be sure of numbers. Please reply to chantelle@cocoandclaude.com who is Producing the film. Kx

Thanks Narnia but there definatley some non SE22 pubs on this list. I was wondering about a purist SE22 walkable pub crawl. Do you start at the Plough or the Clock House or the Vale or is there another further that is SE22 and therfore does that make it an impossibility. Are there just too many pubs even if you did halfs????

Just so people are aware some one tried to break into my house yesterday. Still just light, really strange time of day. Luckily I was in so scared them off. It was on Landells Road. Police were brilliant but I had nothing really to tell them as I had not really seen the person. Just remember to bolt lock your doors as well as the yale. I am sure everyone does but just to remind us all to do it is no bad thing. I am really sorry TJ i have no information for you but I am sure someone must.

What pubs do we think constitute an East Dulwich pub crawl and which one do you think it would be best to start in?

Hey Mockney Piers It worked Thank you so much K

Blimey What's that about three coming along at once!! Hello Yes absolutely. Although at the moment I am asking people to have a look at the website and help spread the word every ?10 or more given in support helps the film get made. No money is taken unless the full goal amount is reached so every single ?10 helps us achieve that goal. I had never heard of crowdfunding before but it seems like a great idea and it?s not just for films. I will be posting again asking if anyone would like to be an extra in the film. That part of the filming will take place on Sunday 13th March in the afternoon. It's very low budget film so there is no money but water, tea, coffee and biscuits. I will post more info nearer the time. Hello lovely Mockney Piers yes super long time. Not sure if your Interlude did work as I don't see you as a backer yet unless you are under a different email. You will be able to tell firstly on the website itself under backers and secondly I am replying to everyone who does donate personally by the email asked for when you support the film. That is incredibly generous of you to even think about it so thank you very much. Also thank you Jeremy that means you've taken a look every person who takes a look helps just by spreading the word so thanks All the best Keep your fingers crossed nearly at the half way mark with 12 days to go. Kx

Hi I am making a ten minute short film called 'Il Maestro'. I live in East Dulwich and we are filming locally as well in mid March. What with the abolition of the Film Council getting funding is harder than ever but I found this amazing crowdfunding website. It is about people showing support and those that can putting some funding into the project. A lot of people but just a little bit of money. Not everyone will be able to do this of course, but I hope your curiosity is raised enough to take a look at the link below and I would be grateful for any support that you feel able to give me, even if that's just forwarding it on to others you think might be interested. http://www.sponsume.com/project/il-maestro Please spread the word. It only works if I reach my target! No money is taken unless the goal is reached. Thank you for having a read. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions All the best

Prior to the helicopter there was a lot of commotion at the end of Landells road. I looked out of the window to see a car, doors open, rolling along down the road with no one in it. Two police with machine guns running after it and after managing to get the car before it collided with any parked cars reverse it back to where all the rest of the commotion was going on. Lots of goings on which without actually leaving the house I couldn't really see. Then after a bit the helicopter. Felt like suddenly ED had become a guest episode in the wire.
