anyone had more than 3m side return extension??
healey replied to rafsta's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Side return extensions on these houses are very common and as long as you have a party wall agreement and only extend to the original depth of your house there should be few problems with planning or neighbours. If you are hoping to extend beyond the original depth of your house then prepare for a possible fight. As LondonMix said, planning laws are being slightly relaxed, but the new rules still allow neighbours to object. If your extension hems in someone's garden they almost certainly will object. I'm not a fan of the new planning rules as they will undoubtedly cause fights. -

Ditch Dreamweaver and code in a text editor like Notepad++. It's easier to get into than you think, and you'd make far more efficient pages... Failing that at a pinch I'd try uninstalling DW4, or perhaps both then reinstalling only DW6. That might hopefully clean out any file assocations.

I bought the iPad 1 in 2010 to surf the web with. I've used it every day since then. It's a useful tool for me. I'm happy for other people not to buy them if they so choose.

You could park in the bike bay on platform 1 of the train station. It has what look like timelapse cameras next to it, which is some comfort.

Does this mean they'll struggle to clear out the old square? If so then that's a shot-sighted disaster. Sorry to sound hard-hearted to anyone affected but the building in the square is a mess and needs removing.

It's a good scheme. The buildings in the old square are a mess. LameDuck: "They regenerated Deptford train station last year pulled down the front elevation." They will be clearing some 1930s buildings out of the old square. The station itself will be restored to its former glory.

Took my 70s Quad amp down there for a repair and fixed it at a reasonable cost. Chap who did it was very helpful. -
Japan. Three weeks.

It's never going to come anywhere near East Dulwich proper, but it should certainly include a key town such as Camberwell.

So the Burgess Park route that completly bypasses Camberwell currently has favour? Seems a complete waste of time to me. A Burgess Park stop is great for the residents there of course but it's not serving a notable town. I think Camberwell has to be included to make this fly, otherwise it'll be little different to a commuter belt train.

Very Old Pic (Apparently it's an East Dulwich house)

As others have said, Underhill Road opposite Honor Oak Mansions almost certainly. The slightly sunken roof detailing next to the chimney (if it's still there) and the shape of step up to the next house could identify the right house, but Google maps isn't really great for such fine comparisons! -
Proposed cycle superhighway to run down Lordship Lane

CP road is a car park, so I'm not sure you'd ever see your blue cycling lane unless there were parking restrictions. Putting parking restrictions along its entire length would cause a riot! Do they ever put the lanes on the outside of parking areas? karter Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > James is talking sense at last, put a speed sensor > or camera on Lordship lane instead of filling it > with crossings so that he can get his kids across > the street in one piece. A private message would be more appropriate. Somethimes things don't go to plan. -

So what do you want people to do exactly? Form a lynch mob? Burn him at the stake? He'll now be on the sexual offenses register. Even if he did time he'd be out in less than a year. -

I've never had any problems, but I try to avoid any of the busy times. Changing rooms seem clean enough and showers fine. The pool itself is very nice. I've been to far worse places for a swim, that's for sure. -
You can also see how Sydhenham could be made to fit. Obviously the older map wasn't hugely accurate.

Thanks for this! Love old maps....

Seriously?? The "stik" figures are a lovely bit of graphic design. The mural above was downright ugly. It wasn't even finished if that photo is anything to go by.
