The use of the site isn't changing much, and the extension will make little difference. The Coop down the road manages deliveries pefectly well. Those in opposition don't really have much of a leg to stand on given the precedents. In my opinion the car wash causes far more traffic disruption than occasional HGV deliveries for Iceland.
  3. An internet flounce? How about simply not visiting EDF?

  5. Paxman was in all likelyhood an idealistic "13 year old" when he joined the BBC. That's life.

  8. Bees. Plural not singular possessive. Sorry for being a pedant.
  9. East or West, remember to ignore bitter comments from self-appointed class warriors. (Assuming this isn't a rather subtle troll thread.)
  10. As if this was ever going to end well....
  11. In days past they'd have played in the road...... before adults filled them up with cars.

    Brockley?

Probably very similar in price to be honest, especially in the conservation area. Less of a high street, but some lovely houses.
  13. Clearly some sort of foreign terrorist hell bent on ruining ED for normal folk. Vote UKIP to send him home.
  14. Community Bush Watch. Kinky.
  15. Good grief. Drunk guy takes a leak against a wall and the sky falls in.
  16. Roasted with artisan bread, organic veg and a cup of fair-trade coffee. This IS East Dulwich, after all.
  17. Yes, people care about things that impact them. What's the problem? 18. Camberwell was an obvious tube destination 70 years ago and it remains one.
  19. Needs alot of work. The design is all at sea. Lose the splash page - it's annoying and dated. Get your use of fonts and spacing consistent. This is what CSS is for. This site doesn't need transitions. Get some advice on colour use. Get it working on muliple platforms. You work to reach an audience, they don't work to reach you. Having said all of that, I respect both the effort and the spirit in which it was done!

  21. They're completely rebuilding the station so moaning at a staff member isn't going to change a thing - they're powerless as far as the construction work is concerned.
  22. Typical EDF moaning thread...
  23. "The housing stock in this area is, much of it, more than a century old. It's falling into disrepair....." Hardly, have you actually seen how much building work goes on around here? Lots of money being spent. Prettifying the front garden and masonry is the last thing you do as any work to the rest of the house can make a mess of it (building refuse etc).
  24. Mostly shared rental properties I'd bet. Still I'll happily admit that our front garden's a bit of a mess, but we've not yet had the time or money yet to fix it. We're a couple with fulltime jobs, a toddler to look after and an entire house interior that needs decorating first. Would be nice to have more spare time do these jobs. Alternatively I could walk around the neighbourhood passing judgement whilst shoving unwanted junk mail through letterboxes.
