  1. The old station building certainly should be retained in my opinion. The proposed scheme looks oversized.

I hope they are okay, but if speeding was the cause I'd be livid with anyone driving so irresponsibly outside my house. Anyway, that's quite enough speculation from me.....
  3. How on earth did someone manage to do that on a residential street? Speeding?
  4. "I will defend my right to reserve a space when needed once in a while." You have no such right. Why is this so hard to comprehend? "I pay to use the roads..." You aren't the only taxpayer in ED, you know.

Unless of course the > behaviour is life threatening ? It absolutely should be, and is in most pools. Injuries can result. Once in the Dulwich pool two women suddenly stopped to chat mid-way along the fast lane! This ended up with me to swimming headlong into another startled swimmer who had to suddenly swerve to avoid them. Sore heads all around. I had to ask the lifeguard to shift them. Foolish behavior.
  6. I've had my parked car's front wing caved in along the same section. CPR is rather narrow at this point.

It may do the bulk of its business online - Etsy etc. Certainly not a great spot for passing trade, but it might be cheap enough to work out.....
  8. I'm sure the picture above looks different to the one I saw last year. I thought the old station was fully retained. I could be wrong.....

Yes, London has Victorian sewerage systems that will need updates. Are you seriously suggesting that this is a reason to stop the building of a few houses in East Dulwich?

We're not short of parks and green spaces around here so I don't see what the problem is. Those who complain about parking can sell their cars.
  14. http://planningonline.southwark.gov.uk/DocsOnline/Documents/320872_1.pdf I like the architecture. The houses are small, but then so are many the Victorian houses around here.
  15. Not an unpleasant development. Does look a little bit tight, but not everyone wants a big garden to maintain. http://planningonline.southwark.gov.uk/DocsOnline/Documents/320872_1.pdf
  16. Good grief people will moan about anything. Its a tight corner for pedestrians.
  17. I just don't see why anyone would wish to pay for the upkeep of stadium seating that is rarely used. I think the plans (which include the option to keep the track) are sensible.

Why on earth is a doctor giving out antibiotics for a cold? It's a virus, not bacteria.

The sports centre needs work, the raised concourse is a mess and I hear the indoor tracks and the stadium seating lie largely unused. Don't some of the options include leaving the track for training? Why not push for those? Bottom line is that the current facilities are decaying and no one is going to stump up the money for the refurbishment and upkeep of stadium seating that is hardly used.
  20. I like these plans. The raised runway on the Paxton axis is clearly a bizarre disaster, but I've always felt that the building itself is a fundamentally good one worthy of its listing.
  21. Thanks for the responses.
  22. "Have you tried 185 to Oval, Northern line to Leics Sq?" Yes I do that one occasionally. Sometimes DH/Vic Line/Ox Circ can work okay, too Cheers-
  23. I work in Soho. With the 176 eternally slow and the LB/ChX route all over the place I now find that the 37/Victoria line route is stuffed by traffic at Herne Hill. I assume it's due to road works. Anyone know for how long? Never had such a hard time getting to work...
