A recommendation for the really fab Kirkdale Fabrics! Passed by today looking for a very specific type of fabric. Great place, a real treasure trove. Lovely and very knowledgeable owner. Very affordable as well. The shop is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Just had the most lovely dinner at Cafe G and just wanted to make people aware that this lovely place is now open for dinner on Thursday-Friday and Saturday. On the menu are burgers (meat and veggie), wings, salads and some other nice dishes. The burgers are homemade and absolutely delicious (and huge), the service is fantastic and the prices are very good (we had two huge burgers, both double, fries and a beer and paid £27). Go and support them, such a great place! It’s around the corner from The Gardens.

I?m afraid I can?t give you an update on this. The owner of the dog, whom I don?t know, was searching all around the village and was obviously very worried. I offered to put a message on the forum on her behalf. Hope the dog is safely back home. -
