I have just spoke to Conway And they said because of Thames water works on lordship lane they have postponed starting works today and they are waiting to hear back from southwark council as soon as they hear back from them they will call me as works may still start tomorrow , will update any further information that I receive I have just received a phone call at 4.40pm with an update from Conway The planned road closure for Barry road has been delayed as works by Thames water on lordship lane are still being done , southwark council will be letter dropping residents of Barry road to explain the delay , I asked the lady when the road will be closed for resurfacing and she said she does not know that's between southwark council and Thames water but probably not until next week at the earliest ..

Barry road still open at 11.25 , and still waiting for a return call from Conway to find out if works cancelled etc or for more information

I have just phoned Conway and they said the works are planned to go ahead today along Barry road , I explained to the lady about LL she said she will contact a supervisor and get back to me to let me know asap I will update as soon as I hear back ( if they bother calling me back )

It's now 8.30 and Barry road still open and traffic and buses still driving up and down the road no sign of Conway road maintenance people at all , really angry about this as people have moved their vehicles from outside their houses as there are removal notices on every tree and lamppost but nothing happening , we have parked our cars in other streets taking other residents parking spaces etc aswell really unhappy with conway

Part of Barry road will be closed from 8am to 6pm Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th September due to road resurfacing also no parking or your car will be removed

Just another money grabbing scheme by southwark council and another tax on motorists, I pay my road tax so should be able to park without paying on public roads , I understand that near hospitals, train and tube stations but not every single road in southwark, who are they to force people into change ?

Yes she stopped , I got her name and insurance company , I got an email yesterday from my insurance company saying she and her insurance company ( admiral ) are denying this .. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get the third party (the other person involved) or their insurers to admit liability yet. womtvneed ambulance chasers as I was in doors when it happend and car parked outside my house

One of those cars was mine this happend about 7 or 8 years ago It was a Nissan micra , The guy in question was drunk and it was his mums car , On Monday the 24th July a woman hit my parked car outside my house number 63 Barry road and now denying it , I do have her number plate and a photo of the driver , if any CCTV or witness I would appreciate it, happend around 9.30 am

Having lived on Barry road since 2001 I have seen many car crashes and people especially children run over plus many animals killed I have lost 1 dog and 3 cats over the years to speeding drivers and wreckless drivers. There needs to be something put on Barry road as I've seen so many people speeding and overtaking other vehicles , I personally have asked the council 4 times to put speed bumps or cameras along Barry road but they have refused to do so as speed bumps will affect the busses using Barry road and also they will only put cameras and road carming measures in Barry road if requested to do so by the police ...

I agree penguin68 totally that its nothing to do with air quality it's too do with money .... Not sure how the government and councils and the worst mayor ever can expect the people of Britain to solve the pollution for the entire world it's no good demanding and forcing us to do the impossible

Southwark council have increased their parking permit fees to extortionate prices . I pay a parking permit for somebody and it has gone from £38 for 3 months to £ 64.60 or for 1 month it is now £27.90 , and this is for ulez complient vehicles non complient are even dearer for 1 month £31.60 and for 3 months £81 , I emailed southwark and they said it was to reduce the amount of vehicles in southwark , I dont believe they should dictate on how many people drive vehicles in southwark after all this is a free counter where we choose to drive walk or cycle Wear Jean's or trousers or a dress or skirt eat a bag of crisps or a chocolate but they are trying to force change on the motorists of southwark ... I find these bikes a nuisance, i live on Barry road and most days I get home from work in the morning and some idiot has put these lime bikes outside my house blocking the pavement for wheelchair users and buggies , even while I'm driving you see them left in dangerous positions on the road etc , there have been a couple of incidents where they have been lined up across the road on a bend .. then there are people who get on them while drunk and weave all over the road which I've seen so many times , i thought that if you ride the e scooter from lime etc you had to have a driving licence but I've seen so many youngsters racing each other on them and skidding about all over the place , I've also witnessed people that struggle to ride bikes riding them and wobbling over road being a danger to themselves and others, I know they are helping the environment with pollution etc so I fully understand and agree with having them but there must be away for the riders of these scooters and bikes to be fined if being irresponsible while using or parking them as they have trackers on them as a friend of mine who drives around collecting them has told me , before any tree huggers go on about cars and pollution I drive an electric van and so does everybody at the company that I work for...

A 29-year-old man was stabbed to death in a South London park last night (Friday, December 30). The victim was killed in Peckham Rye Park, with police and an ambulance called to the scene at 8.24pm.
