  1. Thatcham approved Monster chain ( I have 2) and a solid disc lock. If your bike has not fittted an alarm: some disc locks come with a movement alarm. Any type of deterrent is an extra peace of mind.
  2. keep us posted which router you'll get and how you get on
  3. I have only just had Virgin installed and so far do not experience any problems. Will keep monitoring.
  4. We are just about to be connected to Virgin, coming from BT. BT was alright, but simply did not really live up to the speed. However, never experienced any outages. Hoping Virgin's fibre broadband will deliver faster speed.
  5. Same here. Our car was also keyed on Pellatt road on the night from Friday to Saturday. Will report to police tomorrow. Maybe the council can put some CCTV up to prevent this from happening to others?
  6. Possible to get CCTV cameras? There have been quite a few thefts and break-ins (cars, motorbikes, houses) in ED. It might be a good deterrent.
  7. yes. that would make sense
  8. Just to add more to this thread: I had to scare off a group of 4 youths on 2 scooters from getting at my motorbike. They did not seem professionals but where equipped with a crow bar. that was around 2.30am back in October. Anyone out there with Scooters/motorbikes/bicycles: invest in good locks. they are worth it. Thieves go for the easy targets. I tend to use oxford monster chains, oxford disc locks, Abus chain and a Abus D-lock. I thought about CCTV, but then I read somewhere you are not allowed to direct the camera onto a public road. Hence not much point then IMO.
  9. Sorry to hear about that. There are quite a few stories going around of cars with keyless entry systems being targeted by hackers.
  10. Had my Honda SH 125 stolen yesterday in broad day light in Clapham whilst at the gym. I'm actually considering putting some CCTV up: anyone have any suggestions of which one to get, etc?
  11. Very sorry to hear. Had you chained it to a pole, etc? Any alarm on it? With the riding season coming up this might happen again.
  12. @ Grotti what car came on top in the end?
  13. Hi I wasn't aware there was a model with 3 seats at the front. Honda only launched their latest version I think less than a year ago. Never had to look for spare parts, but would imagine that they are easy to come by given it's a Honda and this model is quite popular in the UK
  14. We drive a Honda CRV which is a good compromise between a SUV and MPV as it has a raised driving position but without the constant 4WD. My wife absolutely loves it. Opted for Honda because it is known for reliability without the German price tag. More than welcome to have a look at it over the weekend to get an idea. Just PM me.
