Theft on Colwell Rd - Left behind compensation!....
Caesi01 replied to Kengo's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Anything will do for those scums.. When will it stop? -
yes, called the police straight away.

Another attempted motorcycle theft on Pellatt road. 3 guys on two Scooters. 02:46am When will this end??
-
Most people don't have enough space or none at all in their front garden. Anchors are needed on the road.

Virgin media have announced a price increase from 1st of November. Customers are given the option to accept or cancel their contracts by 31st October. What are other's experiences with Virgin Media? What are equivalent alternatives?

I hope our ED counsellors are reading this. We all work hard for our bikes and pay taxes for our police to keep us safe from these thugs. Something needs to happen to crack down on motorcycle crime.

hi James Would be great if you can find out. I think the forum posts should help showing there is sufficient interest in making our streets safer. It's a shame it has to get that far. It just seems the police are powerless against theses thieves.

Also, another idea. Given that London has one of the highest density of CCTV surveillance worldwide, why can't cameras be installed at each side entry and exit of residential roads. It might work as a further deterrent. I realise, this might sound a bit extreme, but I would be more than happy to give up some privacy for a peaceful night of sleep.

hi Problem with the ground anchor is it has to go on your property i.e. your front garden most likely. This might be difficult for many, as with wheelie bins taking up most the space, not much room left to also park a motorbike. The anchors IMO would be more useful if they could be installed on the pavement/Street in front

I second that. Really enjoyed the DJ; what a lovely guy.

Just reached out to James Barber: "Please take a look at the "more motorbike crime" Thread. This is getting out of hand. I don't sleep quietly at night anymore as I know that every time I hear a moped I could be targeted AGAIN.. It is costing me a fortune in locks, insurance and cctv installation. I don't feel safe anymore and nothing seems to be done to stop these crimes from happening. I have been reapplying for a garage but nothing is available. I and many others rely on their motorbiks and scooters to go to work which in return generates the tax revenues of which part will go towards policing. What is being discussed and what actions taken to stop this?"

On my way to work this morning, I noticed an opened and cracked top box lying on the corner of Pellatt and Landcroft. Looks like another motorbike related crime: has anyone's bike been the target last night?

New Playground - Dulwich Park
Caesi01 replied to Earl Aelfheah's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Haven't searched much around, but does anyone know what the plan is about the fenced off structures on the dulwich park playground? I only remember quite a bit of work until the new playground was finished and now it is half closed again because I imagine the rain and consequent muddy grass. Just a shame for the kids who don't get to use the new facilities. -

thanks for that. very useful. no idea either why I have always been put on a waiting list but I have applied before and been told I would be notified if one becomes available. Just a note: the ?19/week applies to council residents. Anyone else pays ?27/week. Could the driver of the parked van on Barry road/sylvester road junction please not park on the corner? Turning left onto Barry road coming from Sylvester road, neither myself nor oncoming traffic can be seen due to blocking view. It would be much appreciated.

Quite difficult to get a Southwark council garage: quite a waiting list.
