Suspicious Behaviour (chalk mark on house)
Caesi01 replied to mrsparker's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Does anyone in your household own a motorcycle? Chalk markings being frequently used when looking for the next theft target. -
Word of advice: right now saw 2 "scouts" on scooters checking out my bike. My suspicion is they will be back later tonight. Watch out anyone with bikes vicinity of Heber School and surrounding area

Why are motorcyclists not allowed in all of Southwark's bus lanes?
Caesi01 replied to DulwichLondoner's topic in The Lounge
In my experience when one respects the other, it works for all involved. I commute daily on a motorbike into central london and make sure not to stop in the cycle box as well es leaving some room away from the kerb to allow cyclists to move to the front of the queue. I agree with the north of london bridge being clogged up, but generally by all kind of traffic participants, due to the ongoing building work. -
2 guys on moped up to no good 1.30am wed 10th May

agree. having averted numerous attempts to steal my motorbike, it's important to raise these incidences (even when just suspicions) to the police as they will be able to justify increased manpower, additional funding. etc. The police I dealt with on every occasion have been very helpful and understanding, but their resources and powers are limited MissKing Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Kid Kruger you could try calling 101 [] -

Motorbike parking alternatives?
Caesi01 replied to benfaulkner's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm afraid you'll have to live with the increased risk of motorcycle theft and and around london I as I have experience several times already. Be prepared with several locks. best investment for me however was a tracker. benfaulkner Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > James Barber Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Anyone not heard aback about renting a garage > get > > in touch and I'll find out for you. > > Thanks James I have sent a PM. Attempted scooter theft @ 05:30am
Caesi01 replied to eyebrowcrisis's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
unfortunately, it's a big problem and and a headache and worry for every motorist in london but also across the UK. take a look at UKMTP {http://ukmtp.co.uk/} A second big protest (friendly) ride is being held this Saturday, 1st of april to raise awareness. Attempted child kidnapping by Goose Green Primary
Caesi01 replied to LD929's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
you're right. my comment came accross incorrectly. I absolutely do not think that the police could prevent something like that in the act. I meant more that more needs to be done to provide a renewed sense of safety. We as citizens are not meant to live in fear or insecurity within our communities. Instead, we employ/entrust the state to provide adequate measure to safeguard us. uncleglen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Caesi01 Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > This is simply outrageous and I cannot believe > the > > society we live in: > > thieves, robbers and kidnappers and an > underfunded > > police force it seems. > > A core function of a state is protection. > > I don't see how the police could stop this type of > thing at the time it happens. > Even when the cops catch people, using precious > time and at great expense, the crims are released > on bail and abscond..... > These people are chancers, and they have no way of > knowing if there are plain clothes police and > unmarked cars around so they take a chance- we can > only teach our children and keep an eye on them -

This is simply outrageous and I cannot believe the society we live in: thieves, robbers and kidnappers and an underfunded police force it seems. A core function of a state is protection. -

Again, last night, 1.30am: 4 guys on 2 scooters. One pillion was taking pics of parked motorbikes. Lock up your bikes, preferably to a post, anchor, etc.

just wanted to thank James Barber for helping me getting a ground anchor quickly and efficiently installed. Theft on Colwell Rd - Left behind compensation!....

it's just the fact that one cannot even have something nice anymore without someone else wanting to take it instead of working for it. -

following the UKMTP (UK motorcycle theft protest)on facebook, it shows how motorcycle theft has gone the roof and new thefts are recorded on a daily basis. http://ukmtp.co.uk/ukmtp-manifesto/
