  1. So how will anyone get to hear about this? I couldn't "attend".
  2. This was held last night. Anyone care to feed back what happened in their view?

And of course no condemnation in public from any of the pro LTNers or councillors who are the first to bandwagon when they perceive the anti LTNers do something they disapprove of. Hoping the police get involved because of this intimidation.
  4. A consultation questionnaire was created and I know it has been presented at Jags as I have a relative there. Whether it is anywhere else I don't know. And the guy from Southwark who seems to have designed the adult one is talking to children at Dulwich Hamlet in a special presentation.

  6. So who knew the Council had designed a special consultation survey for schoolchildren?

Of course no one steals bikes anywhere else but Brixton. How very, um, middle class of you.
  9. Motorbikes still using the passageway created, on Thursday one actually overtook a pensioner who was walking through. Is it beyond the wit of Southwark Council to put up bollards either end to make it difficult to get in this space?

  11. There are some estate agent style going up. Let's see how the phantom-tearer-downer seen doing it the other night, has trouble defacing them, that is vandalism.
  12. Anyone watching the Scrutiny Committee would have seen the paramedic called Darren saying that ANPR cameras were their preferred style of closure and that permanent barriers are not. Watch it, it is still on Youtube. Frankly it is so obvious, move the flipping planters, get a camera, get a school street type hours and see how it goes. It cannot be any worse than the hell the people in Croxted Rd and East Dulwich Grove are suffering.

  14. Some of the people commenting on here show they could have an argument about anything at all. Surely the fact that hundreds of people in parts of our area are suffering from terrible traffic whilst the council sits on its hands, is the thing we should be worried about. They will try to swing the stats they create from the consultation, I have no doubt. The Alliance people apologised and acknowledged they were wrong to use a phrase that might have upset part of our community. For heavens sake just leave it now as I have already seen the odd new poster appearing which has a more acceptable phrasing. Us supporters of a better scheme than the current one are looking forward to hearing some apologies from all the pro-cycling groups who do not care about anyone but themselves. What we need is better public transport and school street hours for the closures.

I was one of the complainers about that phrase but the apology says Rupa Huq MP used it. Anyway I was told there are new ones coming. There are lots up at the Plough shops.

Work it out! Close one road the next gets the overflow, close the next, that gets it. The only way to remove traffic from our area is to give us loads of green buses that link all the stations and major bus routes. Or a tram service, indeed.
  17. I have just come across the Dulwich Alliance Facebook page with various info notices. It's a good idea to reach further in to the ED area I think.

Research? Do share. I'm on a semi-closed off road. I hate it.

  20. It's got to go somewhere love, hard luck you've got it so that all those twee little closed off roads everywhere can support a silly LTN policy.
  21. I'm thinking up a new phrase for "we are listening" for Southwark Council to use on the top of their comms to residents. How about: "We are listening but not registering what you say, we don't really care about any of you"

I don't think One Dulwich or their colleagues are after anything except opening the junction so stupidly christened Dulwich Square, and sharing the load of through traffic which unfortunately is what happens when you live on a main commuter route.

I would say it is obvious that it doesn't diminish BLM. If you look at the Go Fund Me it says they'll give any left over funds to the Ella Roberta Family Foundation. So keep calm.
  24. Well there are streets within SE22 and SE21 who don't care about other streets, they can just pt up with the pollution and traffic. It isn't equal, it isn't fair.

It looks as if there is something on twitter. But the message was passed by others - Ealing MP in particular. Agree though not the best slogan to use even if you are talking about equality of air quality.
