Pine wooden bed, originally half a bunk bed but used as a single bed. Condition is used but still sturdy. Some stickers which could be removed. Bed frame only, not mattress or bedding as included in photos. 31" height. 75" length. 39" width. Takes a standard single mattress. Free if collected from Upland Road. Now disassembled.

##FOUND## Missing black young cat - Upland/Piermont Rd with photo now
Damo replied to Damo's topic in Lost, Found or Stolen
Sorry to hear about your cat tamsie&greg. In no particular order; Posters and flyers with photo Use street WhatsApp groups including surrounding roads Look close to home as well as further away/ask all immediate neighbours Check nearby parkland/undergrowth We took wet and dry food with us when looking. Rattling the dry food. Take any toys that make a noise. We had a plastic ball with a bell which our cat likes. We saw other cats more often either early or late Could it have got into a vehicle that day? We knocked on some doors, almost everyone was very nice and said they?d keep an eye open Keep bumping your Forum post Looking at your post, can you be more specific on location? Fingers crossed for you, there are many stories of cats being found after a long time so stay positive. Good luck -

Car broken into - what are they after?
Damo replied to loubelou's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Me too! I noticed today that our cars glove box was open and trying the door handle, the car was unlocked. Every other cubby hole around the dashboard was open too so sounds identical to the OP and we're on Upland Rd. Luckily for us, we dont keep anything in the car so nothing could be taken so no harm done but a bit disconcerting the car can be unlocked so easily. Will stick a mousetrap in the ashtray for next time. -
A bit out of town but well worth it; http://www.louisiana.dk/

Aria came and sorted out a long standing problem with our shower quickly and courteously, good job.

Also reccomend Slavek. He arrived today on time to carry out just a small job for us, changing two light fittings, but did it efficently and gave advice. We will be using him again.

Not sure about a pub but you can watch it live on Pick, which I think is a free to air channel. Failing that, its being streamed free on Youtube. More details here; http://road.cc/content/news/153662-where-watch-sir-bradley-wiggins-take-cyclings-uci-hour-record-sunday

Sounds like the same problem as my Touran, ABS unit failed twice. First time was replaced under warranty but recently I took it to O'Neill Motors near the Old Kent Road who fixed rather than replaced it. Good service and not too pricey. http://www.oneillmotors.co.uk/ I drove with the warning light on for about a year BTW!

Another recommendation here, Steve (plus team) sanded and finished our parquet floor over the last weekend and we're very happy with the results, the level of service and the price too. Been putting it off for years but the whole process was painless and crucially, there was barely any dust left in the house afterwards, you wouldn't have known what had just taken place apart from the great looking floor. A job very well done.

Just to give this a bit of a real world angle, talking to an elderly neighbour they are really worried about the potential loss of Iceland. Its where they do their weekly shop and they think that the Co-op is too expensive. They are now fretting about having to go to Peckham for the cheap grocery shopping and are really upset that they may be excluded from their local high street after living here for 30+ years. I was generally against M&S for various reasons but none so good as those of my neighbour and imagine that there are many that will be put to inconvenience due to the potential lack of a local "value" supermarket. Anyway, I don't usually pitch in on these kind of matters but I think this is really rather sad and is maybe worth some thought when forming an opinion on any potential change.

Waitrose or M&S TYPE supermarket - do we want one on LL?

Tried fixed for the first time at Herne Hill Velodrome, mildly terrifying and then tried it on the road for a couple of months. Found it wasn't for me and moved to singlespeed, red 853 Graham Weigh, sold now. Ride gears on my town bike but in a nod to the old skool, have downtube shifters. Geeky bit over and maintaining a bit of ED relevance, this is a great spot to ride any kind of bike. Easy into town, head due South in 45 mins you are in the countryside, Velodrome nearby and BC Bikes are a good bunch too. Need to have a look at Bon Velo in Herne Hill soon. As for the whole hipster fixie thing, more people on bikes is always a good thing and London has become much more bike friendly compared to even 5 years ago. No brakes and super skinny bars is pretty crazy though. I'm too old to fall off any more so am rather more cautious. Some Boris bike docking stations nearer this way would be good too, see they're heading East. Less hills I guess?

Incident on Peckham Rye/Nunhead (hit while cycling)

Pearson, I think I would've naturally just left it too but if a quick call spares someone else the stress/trauma, I'd agree its worth it. Nice one. -

Damo replied to paddykelly's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Medley/Pearson, just wondering if you reported these attacks to the police. I have a vested interest as I cycle through this area on my commute and would hope the rozzers are on the lookout and hopefully pull the little scrotes. -

Thanks for the reminder about Keveral Farm. Spent several idyllic summers there as a nipper back in the 70's. Glad to see its still going and am now thinking of making a return trip some thirty years later. The path down to the beach, 1st degree sunburn and being frightened of the geese, ahh the memories,
