Does anyone know if you can you add your child to a waiting list for a school that wasn't one of your original 6?

My husbands truck was broken into 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon while parked on our driveway on Underhill. We were all at home but heard nothing.

I have emailed Craig Wallace in the hope of finding some of the parcels, depressing though tbh

...or is it just me. Several parcels (4 or 5) posted to us on 16th/17th December not made it to us yet, anyone else with similar delays?

Is there a foodbank open boxing day? And would it accept a turkey crown? Lisa

March 29th - thats an additional week!! We've also had a note put through our door from british gas saying theyre going to be upgrading things from the end of the month, anyone know if that means digging up roads - if so that will mean no bus service for a lot longer...

the P13 isnt running down Underhill Rd again, it says it will be that way till 'works completed' anyone know what works? and if thats likely to be a day or two, a week or two, a month or two??

Hello! It seems that Kwells Kids are out of stock everywhere, my daughter relys on them to go anywhere in the car (poor thing has been sick between east dulwich and oval before now). I live on Underhill, near Dunstans and can sadly report my two years with Virgin were awful, as much as it pained me to I had to go back to BT and its much much more reliable. Virgin would drop out for days at a time it was a nightmare as I work from home.

I have viewed this thread many times without commenting but its not because I don't care, this is so awful it just makes me feel very sad for those involved and frustrated that I can offer little to help. Maybe this needs a bigger audience than a local forum - I tweeted a link to it yesterday but with little response - but maybe twitter, facebook etc might bring more a response from people who should/could actually do something helpful, rather than my well meaning but ultimately useless sympathy....

I had these problems with Southwarks major works on my old flat before we moved. It was 11 years ago and I'm sad to see it hasnt changed at all, they even varnished my front door while it was closed, sealing me out of my property - my neighbour helped me break in. Unbelievable.

Does anyone know the benefit of applying for specialist sport over a general one? my son is a talented footbller but I dont know if he should put all his eggs in one basket as many sport skills are transferable (speed, hand-to-eye etc) If you've had experience please let me know. Thanks, Lisa

Amazingly I got through to DMC this morning on my fourth ring at 8.01 - I was 7th in the queue. I finally spoke to the receptionist at 8.40! guess what, no appointments left - unbelievable.
