  1. Rabid Pro-Remainers should understand from this that when you spend months telling marginalised and disaffected people that they?re stupid, racist and ignorant - those people are more likely to go out and stick their vote right up your enlightened cosmopolitan arsehole. Anyway, there it is, that's democracy. We are living in interesting times.
  2. As someone who shops at Tesco because every little helps, drinks Red Bull because it gives you wings and eats at McDonalds because I'm lovin' it - I am definitely voting for Brexit to take back control.
  3. Seems to me this referendum isn't really about the EU: it's actually more a vote on the current-day UK with old grievances and resentments which have been simmering away for years bubbling up to the surface - in particularly caustic and unpleasant ways. North v South, white v brown, rich v poor, town v country, province v capital - scores to be settled everywhere, all under the banner of This EU Thing which 95% of the population never gave a monkeys about, understood, or probably thought to cast a vote for.. until now it's all so terribly, terribly important. Watching people I know (on both sides) slamming up all sorts of inflammatory shit on Facebook is bizarre. The sooner order is restored and we can get back to holiday snaps, turnips shaped like Jesus and cats falling into a bath - the better.
  4. You did say 'poor' uk citizens, reading again. my bad But UK people do live in other EU countries in sizeable numbers - it's not totally a one-way street. Not everyone who leaves is rich and everyone who arrives is poor.
  5. DulwichFox Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- citizens do not go and live in > Europe.. France. Belgium. Italy. Germany.. Unless you count the 1.2 million who have done. I guess 1.2 million is just too small a number to mention.
  6. Sounds like an Ottolenghi-style thing to me. Which wouldn't be a bad thing at all if they can do it well.
  7. Silhouettes have their place - like on Crimestoppers.

    GiffGaff

These places mostly all have the same deals available as rival competitors, assuming you're out of contract and are prepared to go through the charade of 'I'm leaving'. Tell EE you want to move to Giff or Virgin and they'll 'suddenly' discover a deal which is virtually identical. (I'm on EE for ?5/month, same minutes and data as Virgin - only Virgin isn't 4G and EE is) Asking for PAC code does the trick in the shortest possible time.
  9. That's one creepy image.
  10. I'm IN - though I have family in other parts of the country who are mostly out. For them, underneath the sovereignty hood, it's all about immigration - as everyone surely knows. Most of them are voting out as a reaction against the change (over decades) in their local demographic caused by previous waves of immigration (y'know, the ones who didn't even come from within the EU) and their children (who were born in the UK).
  11. Who knows, but if that's his price, does it matter why? Take or leave. Trades quotes can often be somewhat unscientific. 'Other tradespeople are available'.
  12. It's a lovely place to live, but too near Camberwick Green - so you do get that sort of thing, unfortunately.
  13. Dulwich Village is useful if you want to persuade cosseted first-time visitors that you live at least 'near to' - if not actually 'in' - Trumpton. Before you take them back to the bit where all the robbers and murderers live.
  14. It's a measure of the low base that many places in South London start from that the arrival of someone daring to sell more than one type of olive is capable of whipping-up a frenzied furore on both sides. Of course you can find an even wider variety of olives these days, but underneath all the olives the place doesn't seem that much different to me than it was ten years ago - and I'm happy with that.

  17. If you're looking to get a finish similar to the legs, a picture of the legs would be good! Nice glitterball..

  20. This is a test case. The thin end of the wedge. The droplet before the deluge. If we don't come together and make a stand, shitty walls everywhere will be festooned with shiny signs and it is the children - our little ones - who will pay for our indolence.

  22. When it comes to Dolly & Kenny LIVE 'there can be only one'
  23. RE new routemasters, it seems to me they've sacrificed window height on the top deck (which is what would make it feel nicer on the inside) in order to achieve the curvy roof (which looks nicer from the outside).. quite claustrophobic up top. You feel like you're in a tin can with a small window to look out of.

Pub Fish and Chips. and > similar to Olley's in Herne Hill That's sounds great value! And you can get an off-peak return to Falmouth for only ?62.50, so you're really quids-in.
  25. Pound coin left in the changing room locker. Sets your whole day up on a WIN
