  1. Please stop the aggressive nature that this thread is taking. The councillors don't have to be on the forum, they do it voluntarily. This aggressive questioning will stifle reasonable fair discussion between the average poster and the councillors. Please act reasonably and consider others in the community who aren't looking for a heated debate.
  2. Thanks PSJ, we'd forgotten about that. We've removed it altogether.
  3. Do you know the IPs of your RSS feeder? We have blocked various countries from having access to the forum because of the amount of spam we get from them. I suspect that your validators/readers come from those countries. If you look at the link /forum/rss.php you can see it works.
  4. Lounged, because your suspicions were right.
  5. I believe there are still threads about traffic issues. Please let me know if I'm wrong.
  6. Hi The business section would be the best place at the moment. We are thinking about a local jobs section of the forum but for now, the business section. Good luck.
  7. Feel free to link to the Facebook pages so people can see the posts in question
  8. Thank you for your feedback, it's all helping. And thank you beigemartin, that's definately something for us to get our teeth into.
  9. UPDATE: If you are now receiving emails from the forum but you haven't been for the last week or so, please please me know (post a message below) Thank you Hi We're aware that there's an ongoing problem with a lot of emails not going out from the forum e.g. "You have a new Private Message", registration emails, Spam reports etc. We're really sorry about this and it is frustrating. We've been trying various remedies but they're simply not working. We're going to try changing mail servers, it may break all emails temporarily, it may fix the issue but we have to try. Please bear with us. If you're technical and want to help please drop me a line at [email protected]. We think the problem is sending postfix emails via a mail server that now requires TLS v1.3. We do use Plesk on Apache/Linux.
  10. Ah it seems it does. We thought it's been quiet on the reporting. We'll keep on trying to work out what the email probelm is.
  11. I've made a tweak, can you access it now?
  12. Hi Thanks for the messages and apologies for the issues. We have a problem with emails not going out from the server, the mail host recently updated to a protocol called TLS v1.3 and they suggested changing the forum to v1.3 as this will allow emails to go through. However not only do emails not go through it affects beople looking at the website. Apologies and we'll try to get it changed back to an older version.
  13. Hi beigemartin, not that we're aware of. If you, or someone, is getting them from the forum it'll be good to see the header. Not just the "from" and "reply-to" header but the whole hidden one, like this: Received: from mail by mail51.extendcp.co.uk with spamvirus-scanned (Exim 4.94) id 1k9uD8-0007d8-8C for admin@ eastdulwichforum.co.uk; Sun, 23 Aug 2020 18:55:18 +0100 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.3.1 (2010-03-16) on spamd0.hi.local X-Spam-Level: ** X-Spam-Status: No, score=2.3 required=8.0 tests=RDNS_NONE,URIBL_BLOCKED autolearn=disabled version=3.3.1 X-Spam-CMAuthority: v=2.3 cv=Ct4LjUwD c=1 sm=1 tr=0 a=uIeTASTj5V+nUmlmXbUrsw==:17 a=8nJEP1OIZ-IA:10 a=tUO0bY2vNCkA:10 a=y4yBn9ojGxQA:10 a=4AFl8g0VAAAA:8 a=bDkQdNGoRNjDSdeecvgA:9 a=v1ZfhEgw-H-ebnl1:21 a=HPua9W5aM_2CHahE:21 a=wPNLvfGTeEIA:10 a=coJqne_GS-QA:10 a=Qsz1UEJWMR3_eADiCOID:22 Received: from [46.32.230.188] (helo=eastdulwichforum.co.uk) by mail51.extendcp.co.uk with esmtps (TLS1.2:ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384:256) (Exim 4.94) id 1k9uD7-0007ct-UJ for admin@ eastdulwichforum.co.uk; Sun, 23 Aug 2020 18:55:18 +0100 Received: by eastdulwichforum.co.uk (Postfix, from userid 10000) id DA068A00DDA; Sun, 23 Aug 2020 17:55:17 +0000 (GMT) X-PHP-Originating-Script: 10000:email_functions.php Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-Mailer: Phorum5
  14. Thanks for letting us know, we can't figure out what's going on. We're sill trying to work out why emails aren't getting out to people.
  15. Hi, there does seem to be a problem where a forwarding server is blocking i.e. not forwarding, our emails. Some people get them, some don't. We are looking into it and apologies for the inconvenience.
  16. Hi, it should be fine, nothing's changed and if you click on the link /forum/rss.php you can see it's still there and working.

  18. Hi Yes you did see them on the forum and they were removed. However, you may have also dreamt about them but I have no way of finding out.
  19. The pictures of people (doing nothing in particular) have been reported to me and I have taken them down.
  20. You have to edit the post, replace it with "sold" or something similar
  21. Hi first mate, I can delete yours but not other people's. Probably best for you to edit yours yourself.
  22. Keep me informed what the police say, and take notes (times, dates, descriptions, contact methods, numbers etc) but ost of all stay safe. Call 999 if you feel you are in danger.

You can't lie about people, threaten them, give out their address, libel them, lie about things they do and stir up people against them and think it's ok. Especially when nothing has been proven against them. We understand it's emotive but we have to play by the rules.
  24. No sorry, it has become a matter of personal safety, and there's potential legal action, therefore we don't want a part of it. There is too much emotional hyperbole for us to properly monitor and moderate, perhaps you can do it on Facebook instead, they have teams of moderators and legal experts.
