  1. Thank you for all the advice!
  2. Hello! I know a lot of East Dulwich-ians have cats so am seeking some advice. My husband and I are getting a kitten in the next few weeks. I was wondering if anyone could recommend: - A good cattery in the area? We are planning on going away sometime later in the year and at Christmas - A good vet? We'd need to get the cat neutered (also any ideas on how much this might cost for a female cat?) - A good pet shop for buying all the initial bits and pieces It's the first time I've had a cat - although my husband grew up with them - so any advice will be gratefully received!
  3. Hey all, Does anyone know of any good fabric shops in the area? I need to get some material for a cushion on Friday so it has to be pretty good quality. The nearest I can think of is the craft superstore in Tooting - which is a bit of a mission! Any ideas welcome :-) x
  4. Great to hear there are some of us out there! The Scarlet Peacock sounds interesting, must have a look. I've just gone from 5 days to 4 to concentrate on crafting one day a week but it's a bit daunting - business plans are not my forte! And Twirly, I totally agree, I always have to be doing something in front of the TV! x
  5. I was just wondering if there are any crafting types on the forum? I myself run my own cross stitch based business called Crafty Monster - www.craftymonster.co.uk I'm sure there must be plenty of others that do crafting as a source of income or just love doing it as a hobby. I moved away from East Dulwich about 2 years ago and have returned as missed it so much and I've noticed an influx of vintage and creative type shops such as ED Warehouse and Give and Take so it's obviously taking off in the area. Would be great to virtually 'meet' some of you and get a community going! Charlotte x
  6. Well, I'll have to do a shameless plug for me - cross stitched homewares and gifts all made in the heart of East Dulwich @craftymonster And my husband who is a wine blogger - @samthewino
  7. Lived in Burrow Road for a time and loved it. Would recommend that estate over St Francis as quieter - further away from the train line and main road! All lovely though
