  1. And sadly another to add to this list - our car was opened on Thursday night (25th August) and a large suitcase full of clothes, medical equipment, medication and children's swim gear and toys was taken from our car on Fenwick Rd. My husband packed up a few bulky items as we were due to leave for a trip early the next morning. He's certain he locked the car but the big case was taken overnight. We did notify the police who mentioned the possibility the car had been tampered with but hinted heavily we may have forgotten to lock it (my husband's confident he did). They thought it was odd that they didn't take my blue badge and left a smaller case, but they probably had their hands full as they also took a couple of bottle of fizz - we're supposed to be celebrating a birthday and wedding anniversary. This was our first family holiday and having been housebound for a long time following illness and then an accident, the break, and the contents of the suitcase, were a big treat to ourselves for getting through a difficult time. Needless to say it's hard not to let it ruin the whole thing when we don't have enough clothes! This is just another warning to add to this thread - please don't leave anything at all in cars and do notify the police if it happens to you. And, as the contents of the case are of no value to anyone but us, if you do happen to come across a large black suitcase full of children's and ladies' clothes, please do get in touch - it has a tag with my name and number on it. We'd be happy to offer a reward - some sentimental items and medical equipment are irreplaceable. Thanks for taking the time to read this, best of luck.
  2. Please help! A large suitcase was taken from our car parked on Fenwick Rd on Thursday night. As we were leaving early Friday morning for our first family holiday, my husband packed up the heavy case on Thursday night. Someone helped themselves to one of the cases. Its contents are of no use to anyone - my one year old's clothes, my children's swim things, and my clothes. It also contains medical equipment and a number of essential and sentimental items that cannot be replaced. As it's of no worth to anyone but us, I'm hoping that someone might come across it dumped somewhere locally. It's a large black case full of children's clothes, and it has my name and phone number on a grey tag. This is a very long shot but we're desperate - it was worth a great deal to us but to no-one else. Please do message or call me if you find it, we will gladly offer a gesture of goodwill to say thanks. Thanks for reading.
  3. It's a very long shot I know but if some honest soul has found a Blackberry in the Goose Green playground or surrounding area today we would be desperately grateful and happy to offer a reward. Fingers crossed!
  4. Hello We lost (yet another) white hello kitty hat this afternoon on Lordship Lane/ North Cross Rd. It's an absolute favourite but this is the fourth time I'll have to replace it. If anyone has come across it I'd really appreciate if you could let me know. Many thanks!
  5. Hello everyone, Congratulations on the new arrivals and best of luck for those waiting on theirs. Unfortunately I've only been a virtual member of this group as I was housebound by severe SPD in my last trimester, so haven't been able to make any meet ups. However, my little girl is now 5 weeks old and I'm thankfully regaining my mobility and I'd love to meet up with other new mums, especially those with babies around the same age. Erika, it would be lovely to meet with you and any others who have had a bit of a head start. Just thinking we might be more available in the coming weeks than those expecting their new arrivals! Anyone else interested? I'll still try and make the next meet up with baby in tow. Dervla x
  6. Hello, Congratulations to you all! I'm a latecomer but hope you don't mind me joining in. I'm due on 3 June with a little girl, our first. I'm fairly new to the area and would love to meet other summer mums, so I'll keep an eye out for the next meeting and hope to join you then. Take care, Dervla
