Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any running clubs near Deptford/New Cross? I have just moved there and in an effort to keep up my motivation in the cold winter months would love to join a friendly club. Any advice much appreciated! Thanks!

Laptop Squatters (especially Cafe Nero in Lordship Lane)

Another ignorant way to create stigma around homeless people. As someone who works frontline with homeless people in Southwark I know what a refuge and amazing resource the library is for homeless people. Not only to keep warm but to use the facilities to try and get themselves out of their situation by using the computer to look for accommodation and jobs. If that 'drives you mad' I feel pretty sorry for you pal. -
I had my eyebrows threaded by Seema last week and she was brilliant. Pain free, no redness (I usually look like a tomato after!) and great shape. She also came round the same day I contacted her and was so friendly. Definitely using her services again!

I would be vigilant and report it to the police. I work and live in the area and I got an email at work the other day from Kings College saying that they had been told by the police that there had been a serious of sexual attacks on women in Ruskin Park during the day recently. They advised to stick to not walking on your own if possible and if you have to, be aware, don't be on your phone or distracted and like this lady correctly did, if you're worried head to a safe place like a house with lights on. Stay safe everyone! -
Hi there, We are in a bit of a pickle and we need some help! We have an electric car and we have lost our charge card and cannot charge it at our house! Does anyone in or near Camberwell mind using us using a plug in their house (if they have a driveway) or if they have an electric car charger in exchange for a bit of cash or wine? You would be helping us greatly and getting some food Christmas c Karma!! Thanks, Lucy

Hi all, Thanks so much for the advice! I will definitely check out Run and Become and Dulwich park runners! Hopefully I won't lose my toenails 😁!

Hello All, I was lucky enough to receive a place through the ballot for next years race and was wondering if anyone else on here has and would maybe like to meet up and train together in the South East London area? I am a complete novice, in the stages of training for a 10K at present so you would have to put up with my beginners level! Anyway I look forward to hearing from any fellow marathon runners (plus any tips or advice from anyone that has run would also be appreciated!). Cheers! Lucy

Hi All, I am currently a member of Fusion Gyms and have used the Dulwich Leisure Centre in the past. I am now moving to Camberwell and am wondering whether to keep on my membership to use at the Camberwell Leisure Centre. Has anyone used this facility before? What are your thoughts? Thanks for the advice in advance :)

Ah that's very sad to read. I used to work in Roullier White just over a year ago and was trained by the then manager Anna, who was extremely knowledgeable about perfume and it was a joy to work with her. Not sure who is there now though.

Hello everyone, Just wanted to warn any cyclists that my boyfriend nearly had his bike stolen outside lordship lane co-op about 10 minutes ago. The guy had wire/bolt cutters with him and was attempting to cut through his lock. Luckily he caught him just in time but just wanted to make everyone aware!

Application for extended late licence at the Great Exhibition

Jeez people need to get some serious perspective. There are much bigger things to fixate on! The pub isn't opening later and the management are really monitoring sound levels at the moment. Surely there are more important things to be getting het up about than a pub??? -

I walked up to the great exhibition tonight at 21.30, didn't even hear a peep of noise. Even now that I am here customers are respectful and noise conscious. There are even people outside taking noise readings with children in tow so surely this is not as big a problem as being made out. -
woaah! My boyfriend had to take time off work because his bites developed into huge boils and there was a pretty high risk of infection, plus he could barely walk. This was definitely not just any old itchy bite my friend.

Blimey. The only reason I keep my cat in at night is the foxes, my family cat was killed by a fox recently and I just don't want to run the risk of it happening again. Mine seems happy as larry, but he loves sleeping and is prettty lazy!
