From what I remember, similar percentage of Dulwich residents opposed the ltn in a few consultations organised by Southwark council

No, Rockets is not "the one still fighting against a scheme that was made permanent years ago" - ordinary people like me and my neighbours and my friends and our families are simply fed up

A while ago I saw lime bikes on the other side of the fence dividing Underhill Rd and Old Camberwell Cemetry - in the bushes - how could anyone push them over? From what I've seen so far, the antisocial behaviour of the ebike users has overtaken the cause - and it is sad. Lime bikes is an American company and its owners are American millioners - I don't understand how can this be acceptable? To trash the public space in UK with their rubbish?

You still have not answered which part of my message is "unsubstantiated"?

@malumbu And what part of my message is "unsubstantiated"?

if one person was killed - was it worth it? How can this even be an argument? And what part of my message is "unsubstantiated"?

Long before the ebikes, St Thomas' objected to a cycle lane being forced in front of the hospital building on Westminster Rd - there was a petition to stop it because of a danger to patients, families, visitors etc. - but Westminster Council couldn't care less and forced it in. Seems as no one is brave enough to stand up to cycling lobby in London and everything / everyone can be sacrificed so they can cycle wherever they want.

Eh?

It is embarassing to have guests in London - as if it wasn't already dirty and polluted enough 🤔
-
Just to add that I do not drive & I do not own a car ( never have). And yet I am lectured by individuals like malumbu who drives his furniture to France - by car - to his summer house and who does not even live in Southwark

Will be very interesting to know, especially in the light of the recent reasearch as reportef by The Guardian: "' Air pollution can be considered an imortant factor that partly explains the emerging predominance of adenocarcinoma that accounts for 53% to 70% of cases of lung cancer among people who have never smoked worldwide' the study reported" People living on the roads taking the extra post LTN traffic like Lordship Lane or Croxted Road are not happy 🤔

Not sure if anyone answered -
Should cyclists have the same speed restrictions as motor vehicles?

Meaning all cyclists should be very happy with any regulations tackling dangerous cycling -

Just to add: if cyclists have nothing to hide, always stop at green light and are law abiding - what is the problem? -

"the same as for uninsured drivers, distracted drivers, or drunk drivers." - of mototor vehicles? Cars have number plates meaning the individuals driving can be identified as opposed to bicycles (drivers?) -

"It is already easily enough to tell that someone on abike, without a number plate, going 20 mph either onthe flat or uphill, and without pedalling is riding anillegal motor vehicle" - how do you identify the actual individual driving the vehicle in question? -

And more: any bike - offenders should be registered and have their cycling licence revoked. I love cycling but what's happening in London at the moment is shocking -

Yes. And more: cyclicts should pass a test before being allowed to cycle ( at least in London). They should have plates issued so they can be identified in case of any accidents -
Campaign Update | 30 Jan Greenwich LTN in the news The Daily Mail reports that the new LTN in Greenwich was opposed by more than two-thirds of those consulted, is badly affecting local businesses, and is diverting traffic on to roads that were already congested. Sounds familiar? More local campaign groups join us As we reported in our last update, One Dulwich have been working with Social and Environmental Justice to bring together grassroots campaign groups from all over the country to call on the government to change the law on LTNs. Since The Times published our joint letter, more local groups have joined the original fifteen. We are now waiting for a response from Secretary of State for Transport Heidi Alexander to our request for a strict regulatory framework for both new and existing traffic management schemes, in order to ensure that local authorities 1) do not disadvantage groups with protected characteristics, and 2) cannot implement or maintain schemes that do not have community support. Better signage needed at the closed Dulwich Village junction At a meeting of the Met Police’s Safer Neighbourhoods Panel on 27 January, there was discussion about poor and confusing signage at the closed junction, and how this impacts the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. If you have concerns or suggestions, please contact highways@southwark.gov.uk

Hi @Administrator can you please remind Earl the forum six-years-old what the rules here are? And that it is fine to create new threads if one has something to contribute and not just out of spite?
