  1. I often wonder if malumbu is an actual human being or a bot. Say you are killed by a cyclist - by a default, according to malumbu thingy you are reform voter - even if you are dead - so apparently it is ok
  2. Replying again to the original message - yes, cyclists should have speed restrictions of 20mph - and more. There should be an exam before riding a bike and all bikes should have plates so the users can be identified and issued with penalty where necessary. The behaviour of cyclists in London is beyond appaling: the arrogance and utter and complete disregard to the basic road safety messaures is quite something else 🤔
  3. and it continues - out of any kind of control
  4. Campaign Update | 1 May Southwark fails to address safety concerns From the summary report we’ve seen, Southwark’s safety audit of the re-designed Dulwich Village junction has addressed none of the concerns raised by local residents. These include: • lack of clear advance warning on Court Lane that the junction is closed to vehicles • inadequate protection for northbound cyclists on Dulwich Village turning right • no signage, road markings or safety features to slow down cyclists at the junction, or to discourage cycling across the pedestrianised area Instead, the audit recommends only the need to improve signal timing and phasing, and further monitoring. We are baffled by this failure to act. Local people – pedestrians and cyclists – are experiencing near misses every day because rights of way are unclear. With regard to protecting pedestrians at the junction from the minority of inconsiderate cyclists, Southwark is lagging behind other London initiatives, like the Royal Parks campaign, which has introduced a Cycling Code of Conduct. LTN and CPZ damage shops and businesses At a meeting organised by the Dulwich Village Residents’ Association on 28 April to discuss ‘The Future of Dulwich Village’, local business owners said that the recent drop in footfall was a direct result of the CPZ and confusing camera restrictions on roads into the village. Hazel Broadfoot, owner of Village Books and chair of the traders’ Dulwich Village Association said, ‘If Dulwich Village is to thrive, it needs to be widely accessible – on foot, on cycles, by public transport and by car.’ She added, ‘If we continue to make it so difficult for people to access Dulwich Village by car, then shops will close and jobs will be lost.’ Thank you for your continued support. 5. @Earl Aelfheah malumbu said: "I'd have zero tolerance and send cars to the crusher. Yep, war on motorists!" - which is relevant to the pavement widening outside M&S / the station how exactly?
  6. I live in the area, contacted southwark council and tfl, have not received a response yet why the works are to take 13 weeks. How about working long hours / weekends / overnight? To minimise the chaos and disruption.
  7. Yeah, would want to know which part of Dulwich this individual lives in - or even if it is a real person 🤔
  8. Normal people versus trash
  9. One hole covered, another one dug out, closer to LL / Wood Vale bus stop: And hey, the Wood Vale is closed! Such fun
  10. Telling. How much we miss the only Southwark councillor I've ever met and talked to - James Barber
  11. "Wouldn't it make more sense to ask the guy who posted the rumours for the source of the information?" - perhaps, probably, you might be right. "But renovating the Grove would be even bigger because it's totally wrecked, and there's a shortage of skilled labour and much more expensive materials now..." - yeah, but all of this was also true 12 years ago - imagine how much more the building is wrecked by now and how much more expensive materials are - and how very little skilled labour is available in England now 🤔
  12. @Andy Simmons as the area Labour councilor of many years, can you please provide an update on the Grove Tavern situation? A real eye sore, left abandoned for many years - there should've been a block of flats, new park or a shop built in its place by now. Labour seems to be bent on destroying whatever little green space is left in the country - why not to use places like this instead to build on?
  13. Ok so no work done on Saturday on Sunday. No overnight works. 8am during the week - no one on site. 5pm during the week - nobody. It must be the first ever TfL "working from home" road repair.
  14. You mean Margy Nevens and Richard Leemings the Southwark Labour councillors also known as " screw everyone except those who like us i.e. our rich friends"
