  1. Dean, make sure you see a doctor. The police can get a record of your injuries. If the idiot is caught, a better result can be obtained at court. CCTV on buses are pretty good and are pointing in all directions. Well done for reporting this horrible attack.
  2. Great idea, it will solve the problem of ignorant parents picking up their kids from Goose Green Primary School!!
  3. Thanks for the info and tips
  4. Does anyone know the distance around Goose Green x 3? I have just started jogging and need to set myself some targets. I think I need one of those Garmain Sat Nav watches.:)
  5. Well said ????, the people who talk this rubbish obviously come from outside London or abroad. They have no idea of the recent history of South London and need to be educated.
  6. I have lived in the area for almost 15 years as well as attending Thomas Calton School on Adys Road for 1 year back in 1981 before I was swiftly moved to Archbishop Tenison's in Kennington. I bought in ED in '93 because it always had a good reputation and it looks as if I made the right choice. I have always enjoyed living here and welcome the new trends coming into the area. ED has never been a rough area. I would say that Clapham was rougher before the gentrification kicked in. As well as the posh schools we had the above mentioned TC along with William Penn and Kingsdale, these were quite rough schools at the time. I have seen Camberwell go down hill in recent years and one of the contribuying factors was the demise of the north Peckham estate. One thing to remember, places like ED and Clapham are unfortunately surrounded by high crime areas. Keep safe!
  7. I was in my local newsagent on Grove Vale yesterday and saw 2 teenage males clearly looking through the window into the shop behind the front counter. They only stopped looking when the shop owners wife spotted them. They then came into the shop and claimed they were looking at the Calpol and were wondering if it was okay to use on a 3 month old baby. They could be telling the truth but I would say they were casing the joint! These youngsters have graduated from their bread and butter street robberies to till snatches/armed robberies at newsagents and betting shops, these places are seen as easy targets.

  9. Liz84, Sorry to read about your boyfriend's plight, I hope he makes a speedy recovery. The ages of the robbers are very unusual, suspects are usually aged between 13 & 19 years. I hope they are caught asap. The attack sounds vicious and nasty!
  10. Thanks Sue.......Still no luck
  11. Hello Guys and Girls, I know it is a long shot but I thought I should try anyway. My 2 year old daughter dropped her little teddy bear whilst out for a walk with her Nan. The bear has a white body with light brown arms and legs. It would have been dropped somewhere between Elsie Road, East Dulwich Grove, Melbourne Grove and Grove Vale on Monday 28th of Jan, early afternoon. This Teddy has been in the family for over 30 years, please do let me know if you do find it and keep it safe...Thank You
  12. Buggie, Thanks for your help that day.
  13. Jim The Chin, we need forums like this to raise awareness of such dangers in our area. Thanks for highlighting such an important matter.
