  1. Does anyone know what the council plans wrt to the trees on Keston Road? There are a number of sings forewarning of works which makes me nervous given that the trees are not that developed...
  2. We had one for our baby girl there - waiting time was about 45 minutes. There's a big waiting room with about 40 people when we went there at around 4pm but they seem to chug through it pretty quickly. The ECG itself took about 20 minutes
  3. For the 1 mile radius around my property it was from 66 burglaries in Dec 12 to 96 in Jan 13. it is very location dependent however, if you look at the 1 mile radius around the generic se22 postcode the dec-jan movement is not that bad. it appears to be worse towards the north of east dulwich / se22
  4. Within a 1 mile radius from my postcode burglaries were up 6% from Dec 11 to Jan 12 versus 46% for the same period Dec 12 to Jan 13. So - a considerable uplift one mile around my property.
  5. the latest Police stats are out - http://www.police.uk/crime/?q=London%2C+Greater+London+SE22%2C+UK#crimetypes/2013-01 it depends on where you live but within a mile radius of my address burglaries were up 50% in January on December
  6. this kind of stuff enrages me. why are these people so effing selfish?
  7. i made no comment on relativity to past numbers or indeed relativity to other areas. there are a spate of burgalries ongoing in se22 - that is a fact. whether this a larger or smaller spate is irrelevant in the context of my statement which was anyway only a riposte to the previous assertion that se15 would deter insurers. lighten up!

  9. KK / Mick Mac / lane lover - try reading the OP post - it is the church hall they expressed concern on not the Church.
  10. ^indeed. a real spate of burgalries going on in SE22 at the moment
  11. it is a rubbish analogy. builders don't need to start at 4:30. planes coming from the other side of the planet however do need to land early, especially if you don't want to reduce airport capacity. are you planning on banning lorries from driving at 4:30? cars? motorbikes? how much trade and economic activity should be sacrificed because that is what you find reasonable?
  12. futile [ˈfjuːtaɪl] adj 1. having no effective result; unsuccessful 2. pointless; unimportant; trifling 3. inane or foolish
  13. Or: moan about it. That'll stop those planes dead in their tracks.
  14. Probably don't need to worry about that just yet though do you?
  15. Move to the country and get lots of lovely sleep. Or stay and deal with the fact the city is a noisy place, the noise being a by-product of the jobs and trade which is the reason people are in London in the first place. The end.
