  1. Hi I picked this toy up at about 6.30 this evening, thinking it may belong to a friend's child who had dropped it on the way home from nursery. It was on Adys Road, on the other side of the street from the entrance to St John's and St Clement's. Apologies if a parent or guardian came back to look for it, a miserable search that our family has done on a few occasions! But at least the rabbit has been rescued from this evening's rain. I hope it can find its owner soon.
  2. Hi crystal7 - feeling for you, I have been ther and it's a bit better now but very much looking forward to 2nd baby sleeping through. Now 6mths old but still v small for her age (was a bit premature) so I'm not doing crying out - although it got to the stage where I decided if she woke before a certain time, I wouldn't feed her, I'd just leave her. Used Eaplugs! Felt a bit mean but i wanted to give her a chance to learn to settle herself. She always went off after a bit. This has so far cured her of waking up at 1-2ish as well as later in the night, feeding twice between 12 and morning was taking its toll. Still dreamfeed her which she wakes up for (this evening 11ish). Like your lo, mine v distracted during day feeds and naps with looking after the toddler, seemed she was eating more at night than through the day. At 4 months she was waking earlier and more often so I struggled for a couple of weeks at 4.5 months with trying to introduce a bottle of formula at dream feed - on the health visitors advice as she wasn't gaining enough weight, but she hatea lot, so in the end started her on baby rice at tea time at 5.5 months. Instant impact! Later evening wake up, and one feed during the night. First child was breastfeed 100% until 6 months and slept through so I was worried about experimenting but might be worth trying something new. Am sure there's a growth spurt at 4-4.5 months that the books etc don't mention! Hope u get lots of rest very very soon. Kx
  3. If you can hang on til the littlest one is 4 months ... Club Med will take them both in the cr?che if that's what you're looking for. Recommend Hammamet in Tunisia. They think of everything ... except breastfeeding, went when our eldest was 6 months I just insisted on picking her up after a couple of hours so I could feed her. She loved it there. I'd never gone for a resort holiday before kids but all I want now is some peace and quiet, a sun lounger and a good pool!
  4. Thank you Claire for bringing this up - its a really important resource and I've sent an email to Rowenna Davies about it and sent on to other local mums. I will keep up to date and try to get involved! Do agree with everyone on here about local mums staffing it - think it would be unreliable as our own children come first. Also sort of assumes no dads use the service - which of course they do. And training, safety, CRB etc etc ... It would be a big job to manage. I've found the club invaluable since having my second - pretty much the only place other than home where i can breastfeed indoors in the afternoon while my eldest is secure and can't go running off while I'm busy.
