Moped crash scams around Barry Road/Underhill/Goodrich
mika1336 replied to Katie B a's topic in Roads & Transport
I had been hit by a moped last September and even though been saying that he has hit me. The driver was behaving weird taking photos , didn’t want to give me much of he’s details and on the phone with someone the whole time. Was told by insurance that if ever gone to court it’s difficult to prove otherwise and they will side with moped as they are smaller than the car and as a driver should be more careful. Still ongoing and more likely will go 50/50 as have no witnesses and no camera too as I have said I might satisfy on that so get punished somehow eventhough it was his fault. -

My son started in Stac from September. He loves it. Very strict but they look after the boys very well. Feed them well too. Six form is mixed and lots of siblings joining. I’m hoping my daughter will go sixth form there when she will graduate her school.

Sadly all junctions with the A205 have cameras. Brinkley has cameras in nearly every traffic light making it impossible to drive without getting hit. In Dulwich I know there is one from forest hill road leading to Peckham and on Denmark Hill by champion hill. There is one by branchlet gardens when driving past Athenlay road on brick let way just before the junction with brenchley gardens. There is one down on Lausanne road in the junction with queens road Peckham road. Few in new cross after the station towards the deptford. They are different cameras. They are grey and black. Look like ufo disl cut on both sides with two eyes facing the road 😳

I was wondering if anyone locally knows iMacs, we got ours gifted for the kids couple weeks ago but unfortunately doesn't turn on anymore :(. Would be more than grateful for help with brining it back to life, especially now as it is very much needed for the kids to access the learning send by the school. Thank you :)

Laundry detergent for baby with eczema??
mika1336 replied to LouLouMoving's topic in The Family Room Discussion
All of my 4 suffered with exema so after testing many things we stick to persil non bio and aveeno to wash and lotion. With aveeno you need to make sure its the one with oats as there is so many of them now that its easy to get confused. from what i noticed the baby aveeno the wash and cream are good and they are on the offer quite often. -

All my kids they have them. Staring from the older version to newer one. They are good. Last much more then iPad and don't cost a fortune so when they get broken you don't feel so bad.

Travelling to school by train. Railcard? Zipcard?
mika1336 replied to crescent's topic in The Family Room Discussion
On TFL website there is an information about Oyster cards for kids. It explain different cards for younger kids 5-11 and 11-16. There is a map which shows where kids can travel for free and what requirements are for them to travel. On national rail children have to pay. London Underground and overground it's free but I think they need to be accompany by an adult when younger. I got my daughter Oyster card with the photo done at home via TFL website, you pay 10? admin fee for the card and you can top up and register it with your oyster account so you can see the usage Online too. -

Washing machine mystery - can anyone offer an explanation?
mika1336 replied to Cam123's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Did you ever cleaned your washing machine inside. By clean I mean I use once a month a powder at the highest temperature which kills any germs mould andales it fresh and no smelly. I started doing that after few years back I saw in watchdog they were talking about wm being smelly and leaving clothes looking very bad after wash. Another thing I always make sure my washing machine doors and powder dispenser are always opened. Try when you wash to use DR. Beckmans color and dirt collector. It will keep colora not to run over in a wash but also helps to remove dirt. -

What age can a toddler start to use a buggy board?
mika1336 replied to A99's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hiya, I used a buggy board since my son was born and my daughter was 2 years old, it took her a bit to get used to it as she prefered to sit rather than stand on it. after having my third baby I was using it since my son was 18 monts old and he was way better than my older daughter :),they are arguing about who is meant to ride on it.I have lascal maxi buggy board, and if you dont need a double buggy that's good option. -
