Cranial osteopath for a young baby - recommendations?
loveED86 replied to Missjojo's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Does anyone have a more recent recommendation for cranial osteopath locally (the vale, goose green, dulwich therapy)for 2 week old. Thanks in advance. -
Clux, as you got offered one of your higher preferences I think Southwark automatically assume you would not want the school lower down so hence not being on the waiting list. This has happened to us and I guess all applicants. clux Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Renata, could I please clarify something regarding > waiting lists? School Application - Child Benefit Letter
loveED86 replied to Angelina's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Just requested my letter too , did not have to wait too long to speak to someone. -
We were lucky enough to be offered 2 schools (inc charter ED)and have decided to accept Charter ED. Whilst the school is not yet established, no reports etc to go on, its sibling school is an outstanding oversubscribed school and we are confident that Charter ED will be just as good, the school are probably aware that all eyes will be on them for the foreseeable future! Being a new school the children may actually benefit from this, less children, hopefully more access to teachers, more involvement in the school which the headteacher as already stated etc I am proud that my daughter will be a founding pupil at Charter ED.

Kind of a longshot but I am trying my best not to pay southwark council ?16 for a service they only recently provided for free and was wondering if anyone was going to the recycling centre off old kent road or pass that way to work etc, unfortunately I am not driving at the moment and have bulky waste to get rid off. I am willing to give petrol money. Thanks in advance!

As landsberger said did not have a brilliant reputation previously but seems to be on the up. I guess people are still abit unsure with the school, I have 2 friends who sons just started and happy with the school. GSCES results are a big difference compare to just a couple years ago, I did not know head of sacred heart is executive head, all makes sense now as sacred heart ofsted and GSCEs results are outstanding (only state school in southwark to have achieved 90% 5 A*-C at GSCE 2013)

Hi littlek1cker I submitted application online Friday when website became live, nothing popped up to make me assume application was not successfully received, should I have received confirmation by now? Thanks -
Thank you- thats very helpful we will go for the sports scholarship and take it from there! Maths is her favorite subject, primary/maths teachers have said she has a natural ability when it comes to maths so if lucky enough to get a place for Kingsdale will also try for maths scholarship.

Hi I have also applied but nothing back from them as yet. I managed to book for the sat pm open day, I booked as soon as the email came through that Friday afternoon! -
I have noticed that there is not much time between deadline of scholarships supplementary forms and assessment start dates, in fact the assessment invitations and tests start before the deadline of forms due?! (invitations for music and sports scholarships are sent next week when open days are from this Wednesday and tests start 26th sept, form deadline for even applying to get an invite for one of these tests is 14 oct!) my head is hurting as it is with this process but the above has left me even more confused.com! I know they would want to get things on a roll as deadline for applications is 31 october but wow, I better get a move on! on a separate note does anyone know can a child receive two scholarships at the school- we are thinking of applying for a sports scholarship which is used for admissions purposes if daughter luck enough to receive, could we also try for a maths scholarship. phew! Thank you for any positive helpful answers to my questions! year 6 parent turning greyer by the minute lol

Consultation for the Charter School East Dulwich
loveED86 replied to littlek1cker's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Impressed with the website and good to see it is up and running-makes it seem all so real now! We are lucky that another school is opening in the area for 120 children to attend. I have made my application for my daughter and look forward to the open day :) -
I live in a victorian conversion and lets just say my neighbour downstairs and I might as well be living together! Every movement is heard and you can even hear when the light/plug socket switch is pressed! no soundproofing here whatsoever but other conversions may not be so bad especially if there is some sort of soundproofing.

I wanted to share with you all a website I have come across, you register your email and postcode, if your postcode comes up you win. There is the daily jackpot, stackpot and survey draw, you have to actually be logged in to claim your prize but they do email you a daily reminder. Winnings not as much as the normal lotto but its free! One of todays winning postcodes is SE21 8BA so this could have been you!! check the website out, of course its up to you if you join but I am in! It states under rules The more players there are in a postcode the more chance that postcode will be drawn so spread the word if you decide to join! http://freepostcodelottery.com/?ref=322008
