  1. If your child is going to New Beginnings on Lordship lane and you'd like to get in touch with other parents, drop me a PM and I will arrange a little catch up for us all - maybe in the Plough this weekend? Thanks, Sarah (Milo's Mum)
  2. My son and I enjoyed what I saw billed as 'an informal service for young children'. I fear mine was one of the 'rampaging' toddlers - unfortunately toddlers have been known to run around and I tend to let that happen at occasions designed specifically for them. I'm not sure who was bothered by it? I think a mum running around the alter after her rampaging toddler would probably have been more disruptive. But it was a lovely service and I think the idea of splitting it into 2 sessions is a good one so more people are guaranteed a seat.
  3. Earlier this morning my neighbour's belongings were left on the pavement in Landells road, following a dispute. There was a really big pile of belongings (furniture, clothes, lamps, electrical items etc) and it seems some people thought that they were left and could be taken, but this wasn't the case. The owner is really hoping that the people who took some of her things (probably in good faith, and as an honest mistake) would be able to return them - a television, a laptop, and a Technics sound system are among the things that are missing. She would be really grateful - a lot of the items have sentimental value and and she desperately wants to be reunited with them. If you think you know of anything that would help her track down her belongings, please get in touch. Thanks
  4. I went to a Sitaram one at Kings and the instructor is called Sue Stockwell. They have stopped running the class at Kings now but it still runs at Brockwell Lido I believe, and Sue also runs classes independently I think. I would highly recommend her classes - apart from being a lovely relaxing session, I met a brilliant gang of mums who I'm still very close to 12 months later, and all of us recovered super quickly from pregnancy which we put down to the lovely yoga!
  5. We went on Sunday just gone and it was all up and running.
  6. Hi ladies, I haven't been on the forum for a while, but I'm now on my maternity leave (due on 24th August) and looking forward to getting back in touch with the other summer mums! Lovely to hear about all the little ones being born safe and sound! Is there a meet up planned this week or next? Look forward to seeing some of you for a coffee. Sarah xx
  7. See you there Jules and Claire (and a few others as well I'm sure)! I'm aiming for 2, but will probably be some time shortly after. Sarah
  8. I have bought a couple of friends an engraved wooden chopping board from these folks: http://www.durhamboards.co.uk/CC0370005.php No doubt you could find loads of people offering a similar service - perhaps some locally - but I can recommend these guys. It doesn't normally take as long as the website suggests, normally a couple of weeks from ordering to delivery though I think they have gone down well?! Especially for a nice new home. S
  9. Hi Jules, I'm planning to pop along on Saturday as I haven't made the last couple of meet-ups (although might be covered in emulsion from decorating all morning!) Folks normally tend to arrive at the Plough from 2ish. See you then! Sarah
  10. Hi everyone! I missed the last catch up on Saturday 12th at the Plough but it looked like there were a few people going along. I'm keen to head over for a lime and soda this week, but have to head into town at about 2pm - was just wondering whether anyone was keen for a bit of an earlier meet-up - say 12?? Sarah. x
  11. Looking forwards to seeing everyone on Saturday! The more the merrier nubby'smum! Fingers crossed for sunshine again. :) Sarah x
  12. Thanks vch, I'm not sure whether the swimming and yoga is helping or whether it is going away by itself, but seems to be on the mend (fingers crossed). Look forward to seeing you all for a chat on Saturday!
  13. Hello everyone, Just in terms of being decisive, I reckon 2pm is a good shout for 10th March. And I think given the toddlers that may be in our gang, The Plough is perhaps the better of the two. Shout if you have any other thoughts! I'm looking forwards to meeting you all. This week, has felt like a bit of a struggle for me - I'm only 15 weeks, but suffering with really bad lower back pain (anyone else have that?). I went to a preggo yoga class on Wednesday and think I picked up some moves that might help, but otherwise I don't think it seems to be getting much better! xx
  14. Hi Guys! I don't think there was a pub agreed for 10th. I think the Bishop sounds like a plan. My other suggestion would be The Plough (opposite Dulwich library) as they seem to have a few really big tables suitable for a gang of us (not sure how many we're expecting!)and don't tend to get too busy on a Saturday afternoon. Hope the nosebleeds are holding off Mavis? I'm just easing out of the first trimester myself, so am looking forward to all this energy and RADIANCE i have been promised!! xx
  15. Hi guys! Saturday 10th March works for me, so if everyone else it up for I'll be there! I think the pub sounds grand as well. x
