Spring babies club (due Mar, Apr, May 2013)

Yup - we go to Tumble at the Albrighton centre now and again and it would def work for us. However not so sure it is a great meet up for those without a toddler to bring along (seems a bit of a shame to pay ?2 and make no use of the facilities - also no coffee on offer!) I just phoned up and they are open during half-term, anyone up for meeting this coming Tuesday?? http://www.albrightoncommunitycentre.org/activities/under-5s-activities/ -

Agreed! Regular meet up (toddler friendly!) would be great! Hope you are all coping with the final hurdle - a bit of sunshine would be welcome however! X -

Hummm - with so many cancellations I'm wondering if this is still on? Is anyone actually coming? My son and I are down with colds and coughs (like the rest of London it appears!) but would show up for a little while if we are guaranteed there will also be others! Hope everyone gets better, at least there is a bit of sunshine out there today! X -

Sounds good - I should be able to make it as well. I may or may not have my 2 year old with me. If anyone can make it earlier, I can be in the park from 9.15! (I would also need to leave at 11.30 for school pick up) X Pauline -

Arghhh - really gutted we couldn't make it!! We had a plumbing emergency in the middle of the night (water from our marcerator started leaking into our downstairs bathroom via light fitting at 2am - lovely!!) So had to wait in all morning for someone to come and repair it only to be told they couldn't do it and someone else would need to come back Monday morning!! Anyway - I hope you all had a lovely time, it would have been so great to finally meet you. Hopefully another meet up will be scheduled soon?!! X -

rougepamplemousse - parking on the actual green dale road can be a bit tricky. However there are usually some spots on the side streets such as Hillsboro road. One thing - how will we recognise each other? it gets rather busy and most mothers there have a child around the age of 2! Looking forward to seeing you all there - we will be nice and early as we come straight after school drop off! x Pauline -

Hi all, I would be really happy to meet with second (or third!) time mums - thanks for organising rougepamplemousse! I could do any of those days - happy with the 8th at the mentioned location. (the only good alternative I could think of in Dulwich is Cheeky C's - but happy to try Teddy Bear Toddlers this time around!) What time is it on for? -
Any recommendations for baby bouncer/rocker?? Soooo much choice - prices vary from ?9 - ?300... anyone have any they really recommend? Thank you!!

Hi ladies, Happy New Year! It really would be lovely to meet up sometime soon, but unfortunately the days/ times/ locations just haven't worked for us!! As much as I would like to meet all the lovely mommies on this thread - I'd be especially keen to meet second/third... time parents - so the older kids can have a play as well (I have a 2 year old boy and a 3 1/2 year old girl who goes to Heber nursery in the mornings) Also keen to hear how your going to cope and if you thought of having any help (currently looking for a mothers helper/ part time nanny for when number 3 arrives!) Or if anyone would be interested in a nanny-share for the older ones?? So would anyone be around to meet up during weekday mornings between 9 & 11.30ish? (working around school pick ups / nap times) If not - I really will try and make it for one of the next meet ups! X -
So we've gone through many coughs and colds, but last night was by far the worst. My 3 year old spent the entire night up with a bucket thinking she was going to be sick as she was coughing so hard. The cough is clearly due to her cold and she seems relatively ok during the day. I've lifted the head end of the bed with books, given her nurofen, saline spray, childrens vicks... but nothing seems to help her sleep - the coughing is terrible! Any advice? I really don't want to have to resort to antibiotics but I'm running out of solutions... helpppppp!! Desperately tired! x

As the first time mothers are meeting up somewhere which is probably slightly more glam - would any second, third, fourth... timers like to meet up? Perhaps on a weekday morning, anywhere toddler friendly and warm! x -

Hi all - I just put up a message requesting a nanny/ childminder starting in April to look after my 2 year old son - anyone with an older sibling who would be interested in a nanny share for the first few months with new baby? x -
I appreciate this is a bit early but thought I should give it a shot! I'm looking for a nanny/childminder Monday - Friday from 8.30 - 12. It would require looking after my 2 year old son in the morning and dropping off/picking up my daughter from nursery I would need someone roughly from April - August 2013. Please let me know if you would be interested. Many thanks

Hi there, I'm due beginning of May - about 2 months after my sons 2nd birthday (I also have an older daughter who will be nearly 4). So that's at least 3 older brothers all around the same age! Has anyone looked into NCT classes in the area for second/third time parents? -
Hi, I want to recommend an excellent builder/painter/decorator we used back in Dec/January to paint/decorate the entire inside of our home in SE22 (a 6 week job) Matthew Hanson and his team were friendly, efficient, finished the work on time and really did a fantastic job - very professional, reliable and competitively priced (we had 6 different quotes for the job and theirs was the best). They continue to come to do odd jobs around the house and are able to recommend trustworthy tradesmen for jobs they are not able to do themselves. They replastered most of the rooms, refitted two bathrooms (turning one into a wetroom - excellent finish), laid floors, repainted walls, stairs, and woodwork throughout, and did various odd jobs. Matthew himself is a painter and the work was of excellent quality. If you wish to contact him, his number is 07939 530699. All the best!

Hello! I'm looking for some playdates for my daughter of 3 who will be attending Heber nursery this September (we are relatively new to the area so I thought it might be nice for her to know some of the children before her first day!) Anyone around who would like to meet up before "school" starts?
-
hi all - my little girl (almost 3) has started waking in the middle of the night complaining about a "painful knee". I'm assuming this is due to growing pains and ibuprofen seems to have done the trick this time. Does anyone have any tips for relieving growing pains without having to resort to medication everytime? Thanks for the advice!

Hi all, I am new to the area and have a one year old boy and a little girl who will be 3 in June. I've been attending the play groups which have been great but it would be especially nice to meet some other mothers with children of similar age. I live just off Lordship lane and am currently a stay at home mom - please let me know if you would be interested in meeting up for a little playdate and coffee!
