Why? they are already an established bakery so surely they know about staff training etc. And if you advertise yourself as being open from 7am then you should be - service industry and all that. Doesn't the word bakery mean that there should be fresh bread etc each day

Disappointed:'( Got very excited at the news of this bakery opening on Grove Vale - advertised as 7 am to 7 pm, however this is what happened this morning. Mr Scotslass went at 7.20 am only to find it hadn't opened yet so knocked on the door. Guy opened up and the conversation went as follows: BBB - "Sorry, it's my first day" Mr Scotslass - "No problem - would like some coffee's and muffins" BBB - "Sorry we haven't had a delivery yet so no bread etc" Mr SL - "Okay just the coffees will be fine" BBB - "Sorry, it's my first day and I don't know how to use the coffee machine properly" He then proceeded to try and make an espresso - but only hot water came out!! BBB - "Sorry, it's my first day and it's going to take me a little while to work out how to use this. Can you come back later" Mr SL - "Sorry, but you have lost my custom" Not very impressive for their first week::o

For what it's worth, when we were looking to rent in the area 3 years ago we registered with all the agents on LL and the best by far (for us) were Bushell's. The girl we dealt with in the lettings office was very helpful and we are still in the garden flat they found us near Goose Green

So sorry to hear about this awful attack - feel sick to the stomach just thinking what your little girl (and you) must have gone through that day. And like everyone else above, am completely speechless that the dog wasn't immediately taken away and if the law says it can't be destroyed, then at least it should be held somewhere away from the public while investigations are carried out.

FirstDirect put an immediate stop on my card last Thursday when it was used at a cash point in Germany - most of my transactions are at weekends so when 2 amounts of cash were taken mid week it flagged up on my account. At least that is what their Fraud Dept told me

Will get on and check the Visa as well. Don't know how they cloned the card - got told they had used a card to withdraw cash in Germany!! Only ever seem to use it in Sainsburys or Somerfield so completely baffled how they managed it. On another side to this, when I spoke to FD last night they put me on hold to go through to their Fraud Dept and ended up talking to someone in India. Found this out when I started asking questions that she didn't have answers too and got told 'Madam if you listen to me I am telling you the information'!! My response "but the information is not related to my question" (6)

How typical is that. I am the last one to post and last night my card was declined in Sainsburys. Phoned First Direct to be told that I am actually having a holiday in Germany this week!! Cards now stopped and no cash for 7 days - quiet weekend for me then:'(

This course is over 9 weeks and they run it twice a year - think next one is October. It's aimed at real beginners or people coming back to running after injury etc. Start and finish with stretches and given 'homework' each week i.e. you go out running twice during the week for a specified time.

A young guy tried to get in front of the number 37 but his car came off the worse and went into the roundabout. No-one was injured, thankfully. Was on my way to the gym and the driver was talking to the police and his passenger was looking embarassed at all the people stopping to have a look

Someone took ?1,500 out on my cards - Eurostar to Paris, trip on the London Eye for 4, shopping spree in Mango all within 48 hours. Fortunatly I was living in Alaska at the time and FirstDirect knew this, so when I called in a panic they were really helpful and I was fully refunded within a week
